MusicMaker students participate in many contests and competitions, but in addition, they are encouraged to become more involved with the community by sharing their music with others. Through our MusicMaker Helping Hands program, our students experience first hand the power of music to soothe souls and unite people from all backgrounds. The MusicMaker Helping Hands program is currently focusing efforts on partnering with local assisted living centers and Cook Children's. Find out more about our upcoming performances and events.

Dr. Elise JeeYoon Choi, a native of Seoul, South Korea, holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Organ Performance from Boston University, a Master of Theological Studies (summa cum laude) from Southern Methodist University, a Master of Music in Organ Performance (with honors) from Westminster Choir College, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Sacred Music (with distinction) from Ewha Women's University.
Searching for a piano teacher or voice teacher for your child is such an important process. The right teacher can nurture your child's musical growth and set the foundation for a life-long love of making music. That's what we do, but don't take it from us. Below are a few experiences others shared with us.
Why not just listen to music? Research shows that for benefits such as music making children smarter, increasing spatial reasoning abilities, increasing standardized test scores, etc. to be long lasting, they must be obtained through active music making. Passively listening to music only results in temporary benefits sometimes lasting for only a few minutes.

Our son has been participating in MusicMakers since August 2017 at Rosewood Academy, and I am so glad that we signed him up. I especially appreciate the weekly notes from Ms. Kathy. She always shares positive information about our son's participation in the class. I would recommend this program to any parent looking to enhance their toddlers musical interests!

A teacher for MusicMaker comes to our daycare in Dallas, and we have really enjoyed this experience. My child has been taking a weekly music lesson since she was 2, and she thoroughly enjoys it. I noticed just a few months after taking this class, my daughter was counting to the cha-cha! I can see how just learning music has improved her learning and counting.
I have been really impressed. She has been taking this class for almost 2 years and still loves it. Taking this class once a week gives my daughter a break from the normal daycare routine, which I can tell makes her happy. I would highly recommend MusicMaker, especially for the toddlers.
