Great place, and great staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and willing to answer all your questions. I purchased a missing guitar string, and the salesman installed it and tuned it while I waited. Also purchased a tuner for the guitar, and the salesman also demonstrated how to use it. Cline music has been around for a long time, and judging by the fantastic assistance I received, I can see why. Would recommend the store to anyone who's beginning with a musical instrument, or anyone who's advanced.

Kline Music rocks! I mean it! I broke guitar strings on two different occasions and stopped in twice for replacements. The staff was great about helping me find the rights strings and explaining the differences between them. As a novice guitar owner it was super helpful. The store is filled with musical instruments, equipment, and books. It's not cluttered but they pack a lot into their space. It's easy to find, and worth the trip. They seem to have just about everything.

I love this place. I've come here for standard and low G ukulele strings, guitar straps, and once for a bass carrying bag over the past year or so, and every time it's been very pleasant. Every employee goes out of their way to greet you and get you exactly what you need. I even saw the P bass I'd always wanted and asked if it was even possible to demo it, and they brought freshly cleaned equipment straight to me to try it out. I can't really afford it atm, but as soon as I can, I'm definitely coming back for it

This small shop has been in the neighborhood at least since I bought my first guitar in the early 80's. They were cool back then and still are. Their prices are more than fair and their selection of instruments and extras is better than ever. They're more than willing to discuss almost anything gear-wise, even if they didn't sell it to you. Great people.

I called Kline Music because I was looking to purchase a solid Koa, Hawaiian made KoAloha ukulele. I've been on the search for a while and not too many stores have them in store. A very kind gentleman answered the phone (I did not get his name) and he looked and found ONE floor model. I mentioned that I had been to other stores looking at ukes and because they are floor models, some have dings and nicks on them.
I mentioned that I am an hour and half drive away and if he only has one, I didn't want to come all the way there to see it has some damage. I asked if he can send me photos of it either via text or email. He was very kind and asked to put me on hold while he asked the manager. He came on and told me that the manager said "we dont' do that".
I explained my distance, and that if I am in the market for a $1,400 ukulele, I really dont' want to drive that far just to leave after coming in and seeing damage to it. He was apologetic, understood my dilemma but said the manager said no. It's not his fault, I know. But the manager should know that if you are going to spend that much on a new uke, it should be. clean.
I gave two stars for the nice employee on the phone but not five because the managers did not seem interested in taking me serious about my intended purchase. I ended up driving two hours the other way and going to Ukulele Source who not only sent me pics of the ones they have in stock but were happy to have my business. I came home with a beautiful brand new solid Koa KoAloha, a new hard case to protect it, humidifier and other goodies that it needs, from Ukulele Source in San Jose.
That was close to $1,600 that Kline could have taken from me. Perhaps they have so much business, that they didn't need my money. Im' happy, they are happy. Everyone is happy! My tip to Kline: I know you've been in the business for quite a while and you have your rental business that sustains you, but when a person wants to drop almost $1,600 (including accessories) you might want to consider sending photos. It doesn't hurt to do that. Oh by the way, your employee is awesome!

Bad service the repair man Tom was rude with a bad attitude I was recommended this place to come and had very high expectation and just the way the work was done on my tuba was completely disappointing. Toms way of dealing with the customers is not the way to get people to come back will not be returning to this place anytime

My daughter is a brand new tenor sax player. I literally called every store in town to compare pricing along with the different rental contracts. When I came into the store, music was playing, which I really enjoyed. I was helped immediately. Every stage of getting the tenor sax was smooth, and I enjoyed the great customer service. They also provide lessons if I need extra help for my daughter as well for the future.

I had purchased some piano music from here last year on the recommendation of my piano teacher and they had what I needed and were very helpful. So now that I was in the market for an electric guitar I stopped here to see what they had and Jeff was very helpful and informative. I also like that it's really close to my house and a good bbq joint lol. Anyway, picked up my Fender Strat, amp, cables, strap etc. today and very satisfied. Their reasonable prices, customer service and location makes this my go to music store from now on.

I like the variety of instructors they have but it's so inconvenient that they accept cash or check only. It's an older building so don't expect anything fancy. I do appreciate the character that the shop has despite how dated everything is. My daughter takes violin classes here and the instructors are all so different but she seems to enjoy it. One thing I hate is not being able to tell who works there and there is not always someone at the counter.

This place sure is lovely. You walk in and immediately it feels like you have entered a different world where music is the language and anything is possible or learnable regardless of your proficiency or place from where you begin. This family-owned spot has the kindest folks around to assist and teach. It has the feeling of the old Sacramento mainstay that it is yet their music book collection is as modern as they come.
You can find anything from the classics to Adele or Jason Mraz. As it turns out, we walked in to check out the ukulele collection and left with one along with a beginner book and chord chart. We even learned to operate our new tuner. Many thanks to you, Kline Music. You really are the best in the business here in Sacramento.

I was seeking a music store to rent a violin for my daughter. Based upon the Yelp reviews I decided to go to Klines over Skips. The young person who helped us was both extremely professional and knowledgeable. She answered all our questions and provided excellent guidance. Excellent customer service and reasonable rental costs
