It's been quite some time since my son has been able to play his little plastic guitar in tune, and the strings suggested to me here allow the "toy" to sound better than it ever has before. Although less equipped than most musical instrument stores (this place is more for lessons anyway), the quality and price of the offerings more than make up for it. Once the amazing service and advice is added in, this will definitely be a store I will visit again.

My kid decided he wanted to learn how to play the guitar so I reached out for details about their music lessons. Moose was extremely helpful in getting a time slot that worked nailed down. When we showed up to sign the paperwork and get my son (elementary school aged) a guitar, Moose helped pick one that works for him, showed him some basics, helped him get the hang of holding and strumming.
We haven't started the actual lessons yet but based on how great our interactions so far has been I have complete faith this is going to continue to be a great experience. I'll try to remember to update once we have a few sessions under our belt. You're awesome, Moose!

I experienced quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever endured in my life at this establishment yesterday. I'm never one to go this far with a customer service issue, but I see this as an exceptional case. The issue was so ridiculous and unnecessary, I'm still disoriented from it, to be honest. I had called earlier in the day to ask about a guitar box (outer, not inner) to ship a guitar in.
The employee on the phone assured me that they had some in the back and encouraged me to just show up and they would "have what I need". This was the extent of the phone call between the employee and I. No money or pricing was ever mentioned. Fast forward ~2 hours~ the employee walked my boyfriend and I to the back of the store, not saying a word other than "This box should work", more or less, and picked out a box (from a pile that looked like it was headed to the dumpster).
My boyfriend told the employee (whose name I never got because he failed to introduce himself and wasn't even wearing a name tag) that he was going to run the box out to the car. The employee simply nodded at him. I mentioned that I was going to take a look at the guitars and was NEVER offered assistance with any browsing, nor did the employee seem to care that I was going to do so.
Feeling rather underwhelmed by the selection (I'm no guitar snob, but the quality is seriously lacking in the selection here) I decided it was time to leave. Assuming our interaction was over, I walked out to join my boyfriend in the car. After buckling in, I noticed the employee had halfway walked out to our car, so I opened the door enough to see what he had to say.
He very coarsely said "I have to charge you guys for that." I said "Oh, well okay then", and walked in to meet him at the register. I assured him that this was news to me, and that I was not aware of the fact that I was to be charged for a box that seemed like it was going to be thrown away anyway. However, I managed to ask him how much it was going to cost.
As he was pecking at the register he curtly answered "However much I told you on the phone." I replied that I was not told a price on the phone, and he very briskly insisted I was. After assuring him that I would've written it down and not been surprised when he told me about charging me, he curtly proclaimed "Well, just give me back the box and we'll act like this never happened." He then swiftly followed me out to my car and briskly grabbed the box out of my boyfriend's hands.
I attempted to contact the owner personally, but I feel like this is my only avenue left to express my concern. I'm all in favor of supporting local, small business, but with attitudes like those of the employees in this shop, I'll gladly take the drive up to Guitar Center any day.

I had previously posted a 1 star review due to a miscommunication between an employee and myself, but the owner, Jonathan Fletcher, called me to personally apologize and is working to rectify the situation. Even if we aren't able to do business, I respect that he took the time out of his day to reach out to me to learn more about what happened and is interested in making it right. It is rare these days to find a business whose owners genuinely care enough to go the extra mile for their customers. I'm very impressed and will return. Thanks Jonathan.

I hate to do this, however this Jonathan Fletcher music store is highly overrated. My experience was absolutely aweful and will never do business again with this company. First off they were going to do some work of my guitar which they did, however they were suppose to contact me with a quote which they never did, nor give a real status update. I scheduled to get a set-up for my guitar which they explained that it was $60.00 I also had strings put back on it but their no additional cost for that, which was explained to me.
However after two weeks with no update I called, and then 2-3 days later I get a status update on my guitar, which the technician told me that he was almost finished with the work and that it wouldn't be close to hundred dollars. When I finally picked up the intrument the staff seem to appoarch me as if I was going to rob the place. I was treated more like a criminal then a customer.
After many identification checks they release my guitar with a whooping $94-$96 dollar bill for the work. What I notice first with my guitar is that the strings was put on like an amature did it, which myself could string a guitar better then this guy did and he does this probably on a daily basis. So my thoughts; way over priced, customer service is terrible, and finally I will be advising anyone that I speak with and has any thoughts to do business with this company to beaware and stand clear.
I don't see this place lasting long. Not with the attitude that they choose to present. I also have to say that I hardly ever really feel the need to write a bad review about a company, but this place really pushed my buttons.
