We have one of these amazing instruments available in the Limited Edition 10th Anniversary engraving. The (original) Michael Davis trombone was developed through a close collaboration between virtuoso Michael Davis and the craftsmen of S.E. Shires. The resulting instrument is genuinely unique and includes several specific design elements not found on other S.E.

Growing up H&H seemed great and quite trusted. That's all changed. In the last six months they've had two instruments in their store from me which they claimed need total overhauls, that when looked at for a second opinion at another retail store, were in need of minimal work. We're talking estimated work $300+ per instrument vs $110. On two different occasions. Beware of this company and this store in particular.
They are not trustworthy. They are in it solely for making money, no being professionals, not being on top of returning instruments in a timely manor and certainly not putting parents and students needs first. Follow up; after speaking with Kelly, no real resolution was reached. I will reiterate finding another store to get estimates and repairs done.
The fact that rebuilding was the only option on both instruments when they needed minimal work, still makes me wonder how many times work has been unnecessarily suggested and completed rather than doing just what was needed for less money. Look elsewhere when needing repair work done IMO.

The staff at H&H are carrying on the tradition that has made the business a staple of quality, reliability and dependability in the region for musical instruments. In our search for a stage piano for our church, the staff at H&H was very helpful and knowledgeable about keyboards and fully explained the pros and cons of the range of different keyboards. We were pleased with sale of our new stage piano and the price was the most competitive of three or four vendors we were looking at locally and online. Bravo to the staff!

I would recommend H&H to anyone and everyone that has a child interested in playing an instrument for school band. The process was simple and fast. They help you pick out an instrument suitable to your child. Easy financing available. They work with the local schools to help keep the instruments in good working conditions. Overall a very great experience.

I was visiting family in the area and wanted to rent a guitar during my stay. I contacted H & H and Kelly the owner arranged a rental for me. Normally they don't rent guitars but he was nice enough to make an exception. It was a very nice Seagull acoustic and I was thrilled. At the end of the week I decided to buy it and Kelly was so generous he credited my rental fee towards the purchase and shipped it out to Phoenix at no charge. I can't say enough good things about Kelly and his music business. Go see what he has in the store and talk to him or any of his very capable staff. Thank you so much Kelly!

H&H Music has been a cornerstone of the Evansville music community for as long as I can remember. I have been there many times and overheard people ask for a certain product and if they didn't have it in stock, they could get it asap. And as far as schools go, I don't know why you would look anywhere else. I know ownership has changed recently but the new owner, Kelly Patterson, has been with the company for almost 30 years. I don't expect the culture to change much.

When I was a young boy around the age of 8. I picked up my first instrument.the trombone. I couldn't just only allow myself to play just one, I played several after that. The clarinet, the piano, the flute, percussion, etc. H&H was always there for me to help me out with my childhood hobby. Sheet music was sincerely the best there and they had all kinds of self help books.
When I got into high school, by this time I played tuba and they helped fixed all of the nonsense that happened to that instrument, mostly because I was a dumb teenager who let stupid things happen to it. They saved me from the most. I still to this day jam out to Pocahontas's infamous "Colors of the Wind" on the keyboard, because that was one of my first pieces of sheet music I got there.
They were always so happy and cheery every time I walked in to get something new and exciting. Oh man, I wish I was there now indulging in some new musical equipment. In the end. Thanks H&H. My childhood and teenage years would not have been the same without you.

For music method books and sheet music, H&H is probably the best in the area. Not always the most competitive prices, but they're very accommodating and are always more than happy to order anything you can't find in stock. The staff, though occasionally somewhat abrasive, are actually really friendly and helpful. Not the greatest place to go shopping for musical instruments, unless you're in the market for a piano. Their instrument repairman, however, is unrivaled in this city. Support local small businesses!
