I love this store its clean and has a great selection but in my years of playing every time i send an instrument in to be repaired or cleaned it always comes back broken, i dont know how and i dont know why but i sent my trombone in once for a cleaning and servicing and it came back with a 3 inch crack in the bell making it unplayable

Stopped in to have my sons saxophone repaired. The guy in the store made multiple rude comments/jokes about the saxophone being a cheap brand and not sturdy. Totally rude and unnecessary to say all of that in front of my 11 year old son. The saxophone was a birthday present. He could have just said "we don't service this brand" and left it at that, he did not have to make multiple further comments.

I left a negative review last week but as of today (1-25-2021) it was deleted. I called the company last week and spoke with "Jude" it was because of her I went from 1 star nasty review to 5 star exceptional customer service. She spoke with the owner and I was able to get a Violin, Bow and Case for compensation of what I paid over the past 6 years (Free of charge including shipping).
This kind gesture needs to be recognize for if it wasn't for her determination to help the customer, I would never had purchase anything from this company again. Thank you Jude. Hope to do business with you in the near future.

We have had nothing but problems beginning with our initial wooden clarinet that we had cleaned and refurbished only to have a plastic one returned. The issue was never resolved with the representative ultimately denying allegations. Fast forward several years to the present--the next issue is that we were sold a $400 wooden clarinet by Q & F representing it to be an instrument in good condition (having no knowledge of instruments) only to learn that it is cracked.
Now we have to spend $285 for the $400 instrument and were told that it would take approximately 10 days. That was on Aug. 7. only to learn that they had "to ship it out." Still no answers regarding the cracks, no answers or date when we can get the instrument back. We can only speculate what we will get back this time. We are looking for a different company. Take your business elsewhere, track your instrument numbers, and educate yourself as it is evident that you cannot trust the company.

Beautiful Music store with quite the selection of instruments, music, and manuals. Personnel inside the store were friendly and helpful. However i can only give Q&F 1 star due to their business practices. We received a Q&F rental instrument through our child's school as part of their orchestra program. We were told that all monies paid into the rental would be contributed towards a purchase.
After 3 years of renting we wished to purchase our child's instrument or the next size up. Q&F gave us the run around on a purchase price, wouldn't return calls regarding the purchase and seemed quite content to have us continue to pay rental fees. After paying over $1000 into rentals over the years we finally had enough and returned the instrument.
We then went to another area store and purchased a BRAND NEW full sized instrument suitable for a student musician for $330 complete with case and accessories. We have learned our lesson and will be purchasing instruments for our other children in the future. It's a shame that the corporate policies of Quinlan & Fabish do not match the service you receive in store

First, I bought 2 trumpets there about 30 years ago, having had an excellent experience each time. I wanted my daughter to have the same experience, so we took her there to look at a trumpet for her. I explained to the gentleman who helped us what we were interested in. He took us to a private rehearsal / lesson room, brought 5 different trumpets for my daughter to try, and apologized that they didn't have more.
He brought several of the types we had requested as well as a brand I wasn't familiar with, and made sure we were comfortable. He brought bottles of water and checked on us periodically, never making us feel hurried, just well cared for. If we hadn't found what we wanted, he was very willing to arrange an appointment for us to return when he could have many more from their other stores. It turned out that my daughter found "the one", which we purchased.
