Parents and students have the option to participate in classes and private lessons in-person or virtual (Skype or FaceTime). Students attending in person are requested to wash their hands upon arrival. Renaissance Kids is a creative learning center located at 1343 Route 44, Pleasant Valley, NY. We are centrally located in a stand-alone building near the Poughkeepsie border.Students may also receive on-line instruction, so that we have students for other parts of the United States that are able to benefit from our experience and our relateable and knowledgeable staff.
Services
Renaissance Kids, Inc. was founded on the premise that all children derive educational and personal benefits from studying art and music. Renaissance Kids is unique in that it affords students the opportunity to experience a variety of musical and artistic activities in one location. At Renaissance Kids, our goal is two-fold: (1) to nurture each individual child's personal growth by cultivating an appreciation and working knowledge of the arts and (2) to give each child an "art experience" that can be used by him or her as a tool for learning and as a means of positive personal expression.
Are you one of our students and desire to practice a duet, practice on one of our pianos, or jam with a friend? Parents and music students often ask about quality recordings of classic music. When choosing what to buy, try to choose recordings made by virtuoso musicians with impeccable technique. This will help students to distinguish good from average technique, and to emulate the best of the best.
We are pleased to offer a week of art, music, and acting fun for students ages 5 to 15. This is a full day, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm program, with availability of an early drop-off (8:00 am) and/or a late pick-up (6:00 pm). You can sign your child up for the full week, or for the day(s) that you choose (per diem option).
Since 2005, it has been our privilege to provide unique and fun summer learning opportunities for students ages five to sixteen. There are different activities during each of our four summer camp weeks. We are blessed with a beautiful, comfortably shady backyard, so that we are able to be inside (air conditioned) and outside throughout the day.

Renaissance Kids: This person is gas lighting because they tried to bully the owner into giving free services and were not able to.
I feel ripped off. I do not recommend. I was told the incorrect billing information despite two phone calls to inquire on this before registering. Once I signed up, the invoices began to come much in more expensive than had been shared. The masking policy was misrepresented as well. I was told one thing on the phone before registration and fund another thing upon our arrival to the first class.
This was important to my decision to register. I was told that make up sessions would be applied to the account for any missed classes and that those would never expire. I was also told that adjusting regular sessions to other days in the week was allowable with notice if needed without penalty. However, when I did this last month for November, they marked it as use of make up sessions and will not adjust.
So they are stealing from me as I paid for those sessions but will not allow me to use them as indicated. I paid for December sessions and planned to use make ups for others. I have now been told I should take my kids someplace else. I have not been refunded my December payment and my kids will have had no lessons. I was not allowed to watch the services being provided to my children and have no idea what they have learned.
I had to wait in the car. When I asked, I was given a hand written, undated, unsigned page with some note about what the kids were to have learned. In two months, my oldest does not even know a scale on the piano. I don't know that my kids received any music lesson services. There are so many classes, and events to choose from here! They have music lessons, acting, and art. They also have summer camp, and they even have birthday parties! The teaches here go the extra mile for students, and parents alike. They've been in business for a long time but this location is pretty new. This is a great arts program for kids off all ages.

This place is a great place to take your child. It seems like all the staff know my child and care about her like we do. It is so nice to walk into a place where the staff and management are all smiling and creating a great atmosphere for my child. Makes me feel so much better when I leave her there to go to work. I HIGHLY recommend Renaissance!

My son has attended this school for 2 years and we have been very pleased. Each day he comes home and talks about how much fun he had. He learns something new everyday. Each staff member we encounter in the hall says hello with a friendly smile, and most of them know my child by his name. If there is a problem or concern with him throughout the day his teacher and the office staff are sure to communicate that with me.
It's so nice to go to work and know that my child is safe and cared for. Lori Crosby has always had an open mind about anything I come to her about. I can't praise this facility enough!

My son has been at this daycare almost a year. The entire staff is outstanding! Every lady that my son has had in his class room has been absolutely amazing! This place is not just a "daycare" it is a learning facility also! My son has learned so much at the renaissance I am grateful for all the wonderful men and women at this facility!

We have been with Renaissance at Sangre for over 3 years now, two separate kiddos and I've been nothing but pleased with the leadership, staff, and teachers! Any time we've had an issue, it has been quickly addressed. I highly recommend them! They give this mama the peace of mind that allows me to work in my own calling, knowing my kids are in great hands.

My son has attended the summer camp program at Renaissance Place's Sangre location since May. The facility, staff, and curriculum are all outstanding! In July I went with my son's class on a field trip to the Oklahoma City Zoo. The trip was well coordinated, and the kids had a great time. So did I! My son's teacher, Katona, does an outstanding job with her kids in the 6-year-olds room, and I regularly receive reports about his day went and the arts and crafts that he made.
Other staff members have impressed me including Ms. Stephanie in the school-aged kids room and the Assistant Director, Amy Mardis. The owner, Lori Crosby, should be commended for running and outstanding child care center. I highly recommend Renaissance Place!
