Parents have special concerns about making a piano investment, especially if they did not learn to play a musical instrument when they were kids. If you're here, it is because deep down you know that learning piano will be beneficial to your child. Learning piano has been shown to improve math and science skills, language development, enhance creativity, improves rhythm and coordination, reduces stress, and creates connections in the brain that prevent memory loss later in life.and the specific changes learning a musical instrument makes during brain development cannot be accomplished through any other activity!
Lookin gfor all the different information on all the different models so you can compare them side-by-side and make an informed decision with confidence? We have you covered! Although all pianos have some keys that are bent to fit around the action rail's structural supports, Steinway has designed these Essex uprights to have longer keys and more straight keys located in the center of the keyboard, which receives the most play.

Truly a joyful experience. Paul and his team were so caring and thorough. The movers brought the piano punctually. Unfortunately, one of the keys got thrown off in the move and there was a little scratch. Paul had technicians over right away to take care of the issues and we were good to go. Amazing service and a beautiful piano.

I turned 30 this year and decided to finally enroll myself in piano lessons. I previous had a digital piano that I purchased a few years ago and really enjoy it but it still doesn't give the same connection that an acoustic piano offers. I searched at a few places in the area but once I walked into Artist Pianos, I fell in love with a beautiful secondhand Chickering grand piano.
I put down a deposit but started to second-guess how the cabinet finish would look with my flooring at home. Paul Jennings (the manager) enthusiastically let me come back in to compare a flooring sample to ease my concerns. He is not only professional and knowledgeable (including demonstrations on how a piano works and recommendations for preserving the life of the piano), but also very personable.
He was very communicative throughout the whole process and even called right after it was delivered to make sure everything went as expected. Bonus: the delivery guys were pros! They were in-and-out in less than 20 mins and patiently inched the piano around until we found the perfect spot. As a beginner, I was worried about being intimidated by the process of buying a piano but my experience at Artist Pianos was a 10/10 and I highly recommend them! Their policies are people-centered with no dishonest fine-print. Just people that love music and want to foster your love for music. Thanks again, Paul!

This was my first time shopping for an acoustic piano. I had little idea of what to expect as far as prices and quality. I was quickly bewildered by the number of good options available at Artist Pianos in Latham. Although the instrument I chose fell above my initial budget, it was reasonably priced and suited my needs, so I decided it was worth going ahead with the purchase.
The salesperson, Paul Jennings, was incredibly flexible for scheduling an appointment. He was not at all pushy. He allowed me the room to just play and explore while still being nearby for any questions, and giving clear, relevant answers. After stewing things over, I made a second appointment. Paul helped me narrow down my options further, and explained the potential drawbacks of owning an old refinished instrument to make sure this was really what I wanted. Purchasing through this dealer also came with some beneficial perks.
They offer a 5-year limited warranty, and the ability to 'upgrade' or trade in within 10 years for another piano at least double the value of the first. They also offered to deliver the following week. I did have to push it back another week, but it was also easy to schedule and went smoothly. This instrument has a rich consistent timbre across the registers, and has evenly weighted keys. Owning it allows me to teach lessons out of my own home and practice at my own convenience without relying on other people or institutions. It is already paying for itself. I am incredibly happy with my new (old) piano and it looks likes it has always belonged here. ~ John Benware Glens Falls, NY

I had a wonderful experience with Artist Pianos. Their prices are very fair, Paul was easy to work with and accommodating, and their service has been top notch. The used piano I bought had a slight issue after delivery and Paul bent over backwards to personally come to my home on two occasions to install the missing component. I can't recommend them enough, especially after having a pretty bad experience dealing with another piano dealer in the Albany area.

What a wonderful experience buying my new piano at Artist Pianos! Paul was knowledgeable and helpful! No pressure at all. He showed me several pianos in my price range, answered all my questions, no matter how dumb, and encouraged me to try each of the pianos several times until I found one I was truly happy with. He made arrangements for the piano to be delivered and I am so thrilled with my new piano!

We had an excellent experience in buying our first piano. They were knowledgeable, pleasant and attentive. Their price on our Essex was very fair. They were honest enough to guide me away from the more expensive Boston to my Essex. They did not upsell accessories. Their delivery process, setup and final detailing of the piano was marvelous. It was a professional and yet personable experience. I may never have need for another piano in my own lifetime, but should my friends need one, I would send them to Artist Pianos.

We upgraded our piano with Artist Piano six months ago. We could not be happier with our piano! Paul Jennings was so helpful and knowledgeable. I don't know a lot about pianos, but he educated me and helped me understand what we were getting and why it is a great piano. He was very helpful. Four of our children play, and they have made great progress now that they have a good piano that can keep up with them. If we ever need to buy another piano, we will be going to Artist.

When our piano requirements exceeded what Craig's List could provide, we turned to Artist Pianos. They took into account our needs and our budget, never pushing us toward something we couldn't afford but taking the time to explain the differences among our options--those that mattered and those that did not. They also patiently let my son play his way across the entire store. Nine months or so later, we are happy with our purchase and grateful for Artist Pianos' guidance. I highly recommend this store.

Wonderful, professional service! I had been shopping for a grand piano for months when I found artist pianos. Paul Jennings introduced himself when I walked in, and I was very impressed by his professionalism. I not once felt pressured. The delivery company was great, but they hadn't checked the function of one of the pedals, so I called about 30 minutes after they delivered it to ask if they could send someone out to fix it. Paul himself was at my front door in 20 minutes, and crawled under my new grand piano in a suit and fixed the issue. I was VERY impressed from start to finish!
