Bob Grieco has been the owner, manager and head of the faculty at The Musician's Studio in Red Bank, NJ since 1982 (He now offers online private lessons under the same business name). For nine years previous, he was an important member of the faculty and staff at The Guitar Study Center in New York City.
I specialize in providing you with only the highest quality of MUSIC INSTRUCTION. You can learn all musical styles at all levels: from the absolute beginner, to students that are preparing for a career in music, right up to serious musician's that perform on a regular basis. My unique and personalized registration process sets The Musician's Studio apart from the other "store-bought" kinds of lessons in Monmouth County.
The Musician's Studio's Mandolin lessons are available at all levels and styles for all ages from eight to eighty. I'll teach you about the care and function of the mandolin's parts including the peg head and its tuning machines, the body, neck, fingerboard, strings, frets, tailpiece, and nut. You'll learn about the many structural and sonic differences of the various models of the mandolin such as F styles, A styles and O styles along with the historical changes that these small sized but big-hearted instruments have undergone.
This theory workbook has been designed to teach the serious and not so serious musician. Although each chapter contains musical staves as its last page, the presentation of the information is somewhat unique in that there is not one chapter that deals directly with the five lines of the musical stave.

The Musician's Studio in Red Bank is fantastic! My daughter loves Miss Karen, and Bob the owner is personable and helpful. After visiting a few places in Monmouth County, I found these music lessons to be a perfect fit for us. Miss Karen is a great teacher who breaks everything down and encourages students in a caring way. Bob always responds to questions and concerns in a quick and friendly manner. I would highly recommend this place to any family and friends interested in taking music lessons.

I have been taking lessons at the Musicians Studio for a few years now and I look forward to coming every week. Bob hires only the best teachers, who are each engaging, knowledgable and bery helpful. Bob is also very flexible with his sheduling which really makes the Musician's Studio a great place for your music studies.

I have been taking lessons with Bob for the past 7 years. He is a one of a kind musician, teacher, friend and mentor. He really helped shape my life in the best possible way. His knowledge of music is vast and he can always break it down to even the newest of students. No one is like him. He has also hired a wonderful staff (I have taken guitar w/ Bob as well as piano and drums with other teachers).
My sister even took voice lessons for a while (and loved it). This is the best place for music lessons in all of New Jersey if not the entire North East! I truly love Bob and the whole gang. I can't say enough good things.

My third grade daughter started guitar this past fall and is having a great experience. Ms. Karen has been supportive, patient and helped my daughter build confidence in her ability to learn a new instrument. My daughter is really enjoying it. Bob is fantastic from my initial inquiry to accommodating any changes we had due to school holidays or schedule conflicts. Parking on site in Red Bank is also awesome!

I'm a music teacher who needs to be able to teach class guitar this coming year. So I called The Musician's Studio and Bob agreed to give me some pointers. Bob helped me tremendously, not only with technique but also with great ideas for curriculum development and classroom activities. Bob is an outstanding musician and teacher. He met me at my level and I feel like I've really progressed in only three lessons. The studio is warm and welcoming and easy to find. I'd recommend the Musician's Studio highly to anyone who wishes to begin or continue their study of music.

I've been studying piano at the Musician's Studio for the past year and a half or so. My teacher is a phenomenal player, and he pitches his instruction to me at the level I need it: sometimes he is stretching me, sometimes meeting me where I am, always challenging me to grow as a player. Although he is definitely a serious jazz player, he is equally at home across genres and provides excellent and thoughtful instruction in classical, rock-n-roll, jazz, etc.
Equally important, Bob (who runs the studio) is always flexible and accommodating with me; I have a very busy business/travel schedule and Bob always works hard to make sure we can schedule make-up time, move lessons, etc. I've had nothing but excellent experiences at the Musician's Studio and I would recommend this place for anyone looking for instruction.

I have been associated with The Musician's Studio for several years. My son took drum and keyboard lessons. I was so pleased with his experience, I decided to take guitar lessons there myself. The Musician's studio has outstanding, friendly instructors and offers training for a variety of instruments and voice for students of all levels. Instruction is available during the day, evening, and on Saturday - making it convenient for those of us with a busy schedule.
The cost of instruction is excellent. The school is located near Riverview Hospital in Red Bank and provides convenient on-site, free parking (always difficult to find in Red Bank). I highly recommend Musician's Studio for your music instruction. You will be hard pressed to find a better value. Try it. I am sure you will be pleased!
