I would highly recommend Northwest School of music for anyone interested in professional and quality music instruction. All three of my children took lessons here and thoroughly enjoyed their instructors and lessons. My youngest has just started college and misses her piano lessons with Sarvar, she is practicing when she has time and hopes to pick back up on her lessons sometime in the future. Thank you so much Kathleen and all of the wonderful staff for giving all of my kids a love for music!

I have been taking piano lessons from Thomas at NW School of Music for almost 3 years now. I started as a complete beginner in my late 20s and simply chose the closest place I could find, which happened to be NW School of Music. I couldn't be happier with my decision. Thomas is a young but highly gifted musician and has been an outstanding teacher.

He gets me excited about the piano and inspires me to get better all the time. His lessons are very casual and laidback, yet informative and productive every time - the perfect learning environment for me. Under his guidance, I have progressed quite a bit, to the point where I am now selecting pieces by Chopin and comparable composers for my recitals.

Every student can perform in the recitals held by the school twice each year. I'm quite a bit older than most of the other performers, but the recitals provide a great source of practice motivation and are a great way to gain invaluable experience playing in front of an audience. The school itself is clean and welcoming and the staff are all amazing. They are always on top of scheduling, billing, and communication and everyone is super nice. I highly recommend NW School of Music for all ages (even 28 yr-olds like me).

My son has taken percussion lessons at NW school of music for 3 years and has enjoyed every minute of it. His teacher, Paul, has been great. He's patient with a 10/11 year old. He takes into account our goals -- the most recent was getting my son into the percussion section at the middle school he will start next year. which he did. He tries to work on songs that interest my son and yet sneak in lessons on technique that apply. Kathleen has always been very quick to respond to questions and keeps us informed of any changes. She has worked with us when schedules need to be changed. All of my encounters with her and with the school have been great.

My daughters have taken piano here for several years. The teachers, instruction, and location have been great. The owners are very friendly, involved and interested in making sure everyone (teachers, students, and parents) has a great experience. Our family highly recommends Northwest School of Music!

Out two kids have taken lessons here for more than 3 years. The school is so well organized and we have always appreciated the communication they extend to all their students and parents. My daughter now has a love for piano that she did not have when she started. This is a fabulous school and we plan to be back; we had to take a break due to fall sports and activities. We have been going here for over 6 years, my daughter takes piano classes. she goes to Nicaragua every summer, they always hold her spot for fall. it seems they did not save her spot this year. you would think after 6 years they would know our child. seems like it is all about the money, we will be looking for another school. good luck if this is how they view their students. thank you for my deposit, I will not lower myself to post the letter they sent to us in response to my post here concerning Stephanie's spot. since we live in America where free speech is valued and constitutionally protected I understand there are 2 sides to every story.

I respect their side as much as our side, they do not want Stephanie anymore due to my actions, the parent, who is looking out for the child, not nw music. since they can choose to not accept her for whatever reason, I will not be forced to pay for something we did not receive, period. if that means going somewhere else than so be it. we have had no problem with the teachers at all at this place, for whatever reason, the attitude of management is not what we expected. thanks

When I started the Jake Gantt Band initiative, we started with Northwest School of Music in February 2010 and ended in August 2013. One of the reasons why we ended because the times were OK and we were going to do 2010-2014 here and it was a great place to start. Now I am with Barry Williamson and his music school and moved on, I have done my 7th and 8th recitals with him and I am less than a month away from my 9th recital.

My future of singing will expand. I was also going to try Pfluger-Rock in Spring 2014 as well, but at that time it was full. God gave me a voice and he brought me here. Jake Gantt Band is committed to growing using Jesus and equipping his word to all of its shows.

Instructors are knowledgable and patient and the school is very well managed, with a wide range of disciplines. They are willing to adjust the material to keep you interested yet make sure you are continually progressing. The school always seems to be busy and that's the best indicator that they are doing things right. The lesson costs are a bargain, for both children and adults. I highly recommend them.

We love this school! My son is taking piano at NWMA since 2010. I cannot say enough positive experiences we had at this school. Their teachers have been very motivating and patient with my son. The teachers make the lessons fun and exciting to learn for kids. I Love Kathleen and Scott they are so kind, always very professional. Their kindness towards all the students and parents really make this school extraordinary. Kirk is the best teacher my son ever had; although, We never had bad teacher at this place.

We can tell that Kathleen and Scott really put a lot of time and effort to bring the best of the best to this school. We love the family-like atmosphere that Northwest School of Music provides and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

My son has been taking guitar lessons from Matt for about one year now and he has improved his skills drastically - so much so that he was able to perform "Beat it" by Michael Jackson on stage. We love the school, the teachers and above all the owner Kathleen. She takes care of the kids. We see the interest of our son increase every day which is surely a sign of good teaching. We love Northwest school of music.
