Studio Percussion

When my 6 yr old was told that she was "too young" to play drums, she was pretty heartbroken. I spent awhile looking for someone who was prepared to work with a little one. We found a great fit with Studio Percussion. Tobin spoke at length with me about her needs and how he could tailor his lessons to her age level. After her first lesson, she came home beaming and played on pots and pans until we were able to get her a drum kit. She is so psyched to work with Tobin and learn and grow as a drummer at Studio Percussion!

I volunteered with Studio Percussion a few years ago and I have to say it was one of the most fun and rewarding experiences of my life. Tobin’s passion for helping his students learn music is evident in his teaching style and every one of his students left their lesson with a smile on their face. Not only is he great at working with kids but he has a very vast knowledge of technical percussion for more experienced musicians. I would highly recommend taking lessons from Studio Percussion.

Tobin Wagstaff has a grand knowledge of music and even grander heart. He teaches a wide variety of students including underprivileged and helps where he can fill in the spaces to make sure that students all have the gift of music. I have had the pleasure of knowing this man for several years and his faith does not waver, the only place I would take my child to learn.

Tobin has been instructing my daughter on drums for a year & she loves it. He makes it fun. He even coordinated a surprise wedding performance that was a totally hit!

Tobin is a highly skilled musician and a passionate teacher. He has authored both written and digital curriculum. He has also developed an online drum lesson sequence. He teaches with a light heart and obviously enjoys his time with his students.
Tobin personally gave my son George percussion and bass guitar lessons for over seven years. Tobin's lessons have been lucrative for George.

He currently plays at Anthem church with other professional musicians. He has also played internationally at various venues in the Caribbean, the Florida panhandle and other local churches. He is invited to play more gigs than he can commit to! I highly recommend Tobin for his commitment to his students, his excellent studio and our community. Thank you Tobin and well done Maestro!

My son took drum lessons from Tobin and really improved and totally enjoyed going there. Studio percussion is not just a great place to take lessons they also do wonderful things in the community from the homecoming parade to the Gator Soccer drumline to scholarships that help to introduce kids to music that could not otherwise afford it. Tobin Wagstaff taught both my son and daughter to play drums at Studio Percussion. They enjoyed both their lessons and the opportunities to play for special events and especially Gator Parade. Tobin has a unique way of teaching children to play drums by instruction in the basic fundamentals and then applies these tools to the music of the students choice.

This allows the kids to "find their groove" in the musical style they enjoy. Tobin LOVES music, it shows in the way he lives his life and the way he teaches. It takes a certain amount of dedication and commitment to learn an instrument, so you want to make sure your are with someone who will mentor, encourage and train you well.
