Rouge's humor, warm interaction, and lush musicianship engage you instantly into the experience! Playful dance, mime, projections, and banter make songs accessible whether in French & English! Parisian classics, gypsy jazz, and originals! Concerts introduce immigrant influences to French music. Who'd have thought La Vie en Rose--the most famous song in the French repertoire--was written by Edith Piaf and a Spaniard!
The whole experience of working with them was exceptional, extremely professional & responsive. The musicianship was nothing short of superb, with Brandon Vance on violin, Toby Hanson on accordion and Clayton Murray on the keys teaming up to complete the evening's virtual journey to the cafes and cabarets of the Eternal City.
The progress that I have seen in my voice since working with Janet is astonishing to say the least. If one technique doesn't work, you'll have five more to succeed! After 4 decades of performing professionally, I absolutely love making it easier for others to find their voice. I've taught privately and workshops for over 2 decades.
I've decided to start the Knee Too Movement. The Me Too Movement has had some good results, so it seems a good choice for a beleaguered joint. Knees are harassed all the time, but instead of calling out the lazy hips, ankles, and buttocks that aren't doing their jobs, knees are called bad. A few butt squeezes can allow knees to get in line.
Show is charged with energy and useful information while being perfectly aimed at her target audience. 2-Organic plants at a nursery are too expensive. What do you do? Reuse plastic yogurt containers by punching holes in bottom, share cost of seeds with a friend and start seedlings inside. Buy a packet of 4 plants and share cost with 2-4 friends.

Janet Rayor
private vocal teacher, school musical vocal coach
Janet Rayor learned early how to teach creatively, effectively, and passionately from her brilliant mother, an award-winning teacher and teacher of teachers!
As a teacher, she has taught privately off and on for over twenty years. Over the last two years, she's taught university workshops and been the vocal teacher for Summit High School's musicals, gaining the trust of students and teachers for her successful work with teenagers.
Janet Rayor has performed roles with 5th Avenue Theater, Seattle Opera, Opera Pacifica, Broadway Performance Hall's Allegro!, and NOISE in the Northwest. Her French band, Rouge, for over ten years has performed concerts, festivals, and fundraisers nationally. Early on she
won lead roles and solos 3rd grade-high school, was one of three in her school to qualify for state classical choir, and began private vocal training at 11 yrs. On graduation, she received a merit scholarship to attend Washington University in St. Louis. Still in her teens, she was accepted to NYU's Theatre program, NYC's Circle in the Square Summer Intensive, and Shakespeare & Company's intensive month study. She left college early to be a repertory member of a professional theater company in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. She performed over a dozen leading singing and acting roles with rave reviews at various theaters in Colorado before making Seattle her home-base.
