I'm an established guitar / bass / voice / keyboard & music teacher. Most of my students are beginners. I teach advanced students too. I have 35 years experience teaching guitar and I am professionally trained, with lots of references available upon request. I specialize in all styles of music, from mellow accoustic to shredding electric. Many students tell me they learn more in one month than they have with other teachers they have tried. I teach students of all ages and I will meet or beat any advertised price. I have a great studio too, with lots of cool tools for recording and writing notation or tab. I also specialize in teaching songwriting and music theory for all levels of guitar, keyboard and voice. I have placed students in advanced local magnet school programs for classical guitar. If you are looking for someone who is incredibly kind, patient, and understands what you are trying to communicate even if you don't exactly know how to explain, and if you are looking for someone who is very fair priced, Bob is your person! Before I found him I was lost with little no direction and motivation, and after starting to take lessons from Bob he ignited a fire in me and makes me want to play and look forward to the next lessons. I found Bob based on the other rave reviews about his teaching style, and had the pleasure of being able to have a lesson with Bob last week. From just one hour with him, it's readily apparent that he is both an excellent guitarist-and more importantly-an excellent teacher. I've been self-taught for awhile, but Bob was able to instantly identify some areas of improvement from the first lesson.
He takes the time to tailor the lesson and lesson plan to the student, which makes a world of difference, enabling the student to stay interested in the sometimes difficult study of music. Not to mention, his prices are very reasonable, probably the best in town. Give Bob a call, you won't regret it.

Bob is by far the best guitar teacher I've ever had. He is well versed in music and is an outstanding communicator. If you are struggling to nail down a particular concept, he will work to explain it in various ways until you understand the idea. He is fair and flexible. Bob is a great teacher! I have taken lessons from two other teachers and did not think I could learn. I tried Bob. he explained in great detail the entire process and what I could expect. Then he started teaching me to play the guitar. He always has great feedback and makes me want to practice and learn. Im now excited about learning and practicing my first song. If you want to learn how to play the guitar this is the teacher for you.

I'm a beginner guitarist who has been taking lessons with Bob for a few months now and I've found him to be a great teacher. All lessons are customized for the kind of music I want to play and the level that I'm playing at. He has a great ear and is able to give me great feedback with every lesson. Is very patient and has great techniques to help me learn.

I started taking guitar lessons with Bob about 3 months ago. Bob is an excellent guitar teacher he layed out a plan for me that has brought further than I ever would've thought after only 3 months. Bob is an great instructor and I highly recommend him to anyone that wants to learn to play guitar. And hes a great guy willing to work to put you on a plan for success well worth you time and money.

Out of all of the music instructors I've had, Bob Mann is the best. I've studied guitar, bass, and voice under Bob and have seen an immense improvement in my skills. No matter what you're struggling with, he always has tricks up his sleeve with easy to understand explanations and drills. As someone trying his hand at songwriting, Bob is immensely helpful.

I am 34 years old and I never had any musical inclinations, but I always wanted to learn how to the play guitar. Ten months ago I decided to start. After some research online I saw that Bob had really good reviews. I have to admit that I was afraid it was going to be a cookie cutter guitar lesson like you see on YouTube but I am glad that I was wrong.
Not only did Bob designed the lesson to my taste of music but he always has a way to teach me stuff that was very related to my experience in life. He will always have good exercises that helped me with push through learning chords and songs. Bob is a masterful teacher and has the ability to listen and understand where I am in my learning curve, adjust his lessons to my skill level, and more importantly helped me a lot when I am frustrated and stuck. Bob helped me to overcome the inner critic that had held me back, by identifying and encouraging the musical ability in me. I am very grateful for that. If you want to learn music on a deep and intuitive level, Bob is the right choice.

I have been working with Bob for almost a year on guitar and I honestly believe I could not get better teaching anywhere else. He caters his instruction to the student's interests and creates brilliant exercises for overcoming difficulties. Bob has a great insight into what the student should learn and the pace that they should learn at. He is great at what he does and a great person all around. My 13 year old daughter started taking acoustic guitar lessons with Bob in July. She was a total beginner. Bob has helped her to make tremendous progress. She now has two actual songs that she is close to mastering and is working on a third song. Not only can she play songs that she recognizes, Bob has customized his lessons to the specific genre that she loves and can relate to.
She is enjoying her lessons very much and her family can definitely see her progress. Bob is a very gifted artist and teacher. He relates very well to my daughter and keeps everything on the pace that she enjoys. Bob is a master teacher! I spent a couple hours weeding through people that advertised they provide guitar lessons. I was searching for someone that I could relate to and learn quickly from while working in Florida. By some stroke of luck…or Divine intervention…I found Bob’s entry. This guy was different than the others. I told him my situation, he understood completely.

Great Teacher! I have been playing guitar since I was 15, never took lessons and never got very good. Had a couple of referals to try Bob out and I've not been disappointed. We've gone back to the begining so that I can get the theory and it's really starting to fall into place, he has some simple tools to help it all make sense. He knows about every facet of music that I've mentioned and has the ability to explain it in a way I can get. If you want to get better at playing, or learn the theory, Bob's your guy.

Bob is giving my 14 year old voice lesson's and after only two lessons my son says he can tell a differce in his voice and so can i. My son also took guitar lessons with Bob for about 3 years and last year at LaVilla School of the Arts he recieved the honor of excellence in classical guitar. Mr.Mann is great teacher.
