The Kindermusik curriculum was developed by music educators and child development experts to touch each area of your child's development. Using music as a facilitator, Kindermusik helps the child to develop social, verbal, literary, math, musical, emotional and cognitave skills. Its not about pressuring your child to perform or achieve but about creating an atmosphere where your child can create, discover and experience. One thing that makes Kindermusik unique, is the At Home Materials. Each Kindermusik class has its own set of beautiful, developmentally appropriate materials for your home use. The materials include the same books we use in class, an instrument, and a CD of the same music we will use in our class. By becoming familliar with the materials at home, you and and your child will get the most out of your participation in class. These materials also help you to learn new stimulating games and activities to explore with your child at home all week!

Lauren is a graduate of Samford University with a degree in piano performance. While at Samford, she studied piano with Dr. Betty Sue Shepherd. In college, she performed in many different ensembles on the trumpet, worked as a freelance musician on the trumpet, and as a professional accompianist on the piano. She has over ten years experience as a music teacher. Lauren has taught private lessons, theory classes, and Orff clases at summer camps and throughout the school year for over ten years. She has also taught private trumpet lessons and worked as a trumpet clinician at a local high school. Lauren currently teaches piano at Bruno Montessori and at the Cherubs Clubhouse in Pelham Al.

Lauren has been teaching private music lessons and classes to children for over ten years. A graduate from Samford University with a degree in piano performance, she is also a licensed Kindermusik instructor and a certified Orff music teacher. While at Samford, Lauren also performed on trumpet and horn in many instrumental ensembles on campus as well as solo in recital. She has also performed on piano as a professional accompianist and a freelance musician. After college, Lauren began teaching privately in the Preparatory Music Department at Samford University. She is currently a piano teacher at a private school in the Birmingham area. Lauren has taught students of all ages, some of whom have gone on to pursue music on the college level.
