A Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in Piano, Judy Huang, graduated from Queens College, the City University of New York. She has taught piano and music since the year 1998. Her versatile teaching styles and positive attitudes make lesson fun yet informative. She does not use the same method to teach everyone but adjusts her approach according to each student's unique personality and learning modality. During a lesson, I would ask my student to find any patterns in a musical piece and identify the differences and similarities between two passages. I often ask students to find any interesting or unusual passages throughout the pieces based on the knowledge they have acquired from the past lessons. I ask them to attentively listen while playing the music. Immediately after I imitate HOW they play a passage, I demonstrate HOW I play it as a comparison. In order to learn techniques properly, students need to be observant and be able to tell me what the differences between the two interpretations. I explain how the students should practice at home in details.
Piano studying is not only about learning the notations but also expressions, interpretations, phrases, structures, tonal relationships, articulations. I include some music history from the pieces that the students are learning, as well as theory and structure. It is my joy to see my students enjoy, understand, and bring their ARTISTRY and musicality into their lives.

The instructor, Judy Huang, graduated from Queens College, the City University of New York. She taught piano at Amadeus Music School and The Royal Conservatory in New York. She moved to the South, and formerly taught private piano lessons at Griffin School for the Arts. Then, private piano lessons were given at Judy's home studio in Griffin, GA. Judy is currently teaching in Sugar Hill. Judy is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in Piano.

We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have found Ms. Judy amidst our search for a remarkable teacher who could instill a love for music in our child's heart and guide her towards mastering the piano. I am 64 years old and lately and started to learn piano through the web, but I learned that it did not do much progress, so decided to came with my personalized piano lessons and just 2 months, I learned a lot of with teacher Judy, thanks teacher Judy. Mia our daughter is been with her since she was 5 years old until now when she is almost 15. You can see how much she controls the piano and loves it too. Thats because a great teacher who encourages and at the same time transmit the love to it too. We really sad Judy has to move up north wish we can sell our house and follow her .

Judy is well trained and knowledgeable piano teacher. She is very passionate about music and it shows in the way she teaches. I love the way she challenges you to play from your own passion, not just playing notes, but to express the feelings and nuances of the music. Learning to play with someone as loving as Judy is indeed priceless!

My daughter started taking lesson's from Ms. Huang when she was only six years old. Judy Huang was a patient and very professional teacher when instructing my very young, yet shy daughter. The instruction was well organized and rich, yet fun. We had to move away for a few years but after my return, I sought out Ms. Huang to continue teaching my now teenage daughter.
I found that the piano teacher we hired in the interim was teaching my daughter how to play by ear only. Once Ms. Huang resumed my child instructions, my child absorbed music theory, became proficient in reading sheet music while keeping her artistic flare. I would highly recommend Ms. Hung as she is a gifted piano teacher.

We have been going to Judy for over 10 years now. My daughter went from zero music knowledge to actually playing songs within months. 10 years later my kid is a master at the piano thanks to her instructor. Judy has a great way of teaching and knows how to connect with her students. Always positive, always smiling and always professional. Judy likes to keep the communication open between her and the parents of the students, so that she is able to tailor her teaching to each child.
