Magnolia Music Studio in Old Town

The Listening Room at Magnolia Music Studio- I love this place! I have had a few piano recitals here. It's a beautiful room, decently sized, but without being too intimidating for my students. The piano is absolutely beautiful with a gorgeous sound. So many things about this place and Cynthia's management make it smooth and easy to host an event. I love not having to set up my own chairs and/or audio equipment when I'm thinking of a thousand other things before the event starts. I even used her Alexa to play background music. It was a great experience all around and I'll definitely be back. Thank you Cynthia!

The owner is the sweeties, most kind hearted woman you'll ever meet, and she's amazing at what she does. If you're thinking about getting the kids into music she's the lady to talk to.

I have taken lessons with several of the teachers at Magnolia and to a person they have exhibited professionalism, deep knowledge, and a love of teaching. Their goal has always been to help their students define and achieve their own musical dreams.

Cynthia Vaughn is an Amazing vocal teacher! She knows how to really care for her students, putting them at ease so they can focus on the work. She is an excellent communicator, and she dusted off my voice in record time. She is so encouraging, supportive and an impressive professional. The studio space is very inviting as well.

My daughter has been in voice lessons with Cynthia for a little over a year. Not only has her singing vastly improved, she comes out of every lesson with a smile on her face, regardless of her mood she she walked in. I have a masters in music education, myself, and I can tell you that her pedagogy is solid (other instructors consult with her), she knows her music, but she also knows how to work with people, as well.

She gets a quality sound from all her students with grace and kindness. What more can a person want? Oh yeah, the studio is professional and organized. If there are questions, Cynthia is there to answer them and help you out. If she doesn't respond, try again. She's a busy lady. I'm positive Cynthia's attitude and enthusiasm filters throughout her studio to all her other professional instructors as well. It's infectious.

I have been taking lessons at Magnolia River Walk for a little over a year. Teachers are available for all levels of study. The studio is professionally managed: inviting waiting area and has a Listening Room for recitals or concerts. Highly recommend!

I've been Cynthia's student for almost 4? 5? Years now? She's incredible and hilarious. I love having a mentor that supports me in whatever endeavor I take on and pushes me to be my best self. The other teachers there are also incredible. I've had so many positive interactions with most of them. Keep up the amazing work!

I started lessons with Cynthia Vaughn at Magnolia Music about 9-10 months ago. I am an older student who used to be a singer but with age I felt I had lost my voice. Cynthia is so patient and kind, she has given me back my voice and my joy of singing. Love the exercises, the fact that I'm able to bring songs to learn that are meaningful to me, and especially the fact that I feel that Cynthia cares.

I have prepared 2 major musical theatre roles with the coaches at MMS, and in both cases I felt well trained, well supported, and well loved. A very healthy, nurturing studio.

My daughter was in a kids music program in the summer and we were thrilled with the musical training. Aimee Woods was excellent in working with kids!

As professional musicians, we often seek out and carefully select "coaches" to be our third ear, help keep us honest in technique, and fine tune our performances from another perspective. Cynthia is this for me and so much more! As an instructor she is well-rounded, highly knowledgeable, engaging and professional. All the staff at Magnolia are accomplished, professional and well-worth your time and money.

I have seen them work with a variety of levels and ages of students and the results are the same.great progress in their abilities and confidence as musicians. Personally I have grown in many ways and It's uplifting to associate with other caring and mindful musicians/teachers. I couldn't be happier with my choice of Magnolia, and they will certainly continue be part of my musical journey!

My teenage daughter has been taking vocal lessons here for a little over a year. Mrs. Vaughn is an amazing instructor, she is always challenging my daughter to try outside of her "comfort zone".

The voice teachers are great here. The studio is very accommodating with room-temperature filtered water, a large collection of books, and a very nice piano. With ample space, a bathroom, an audio system, and a unique decor, it is a perfect environment for lessons and intimate shows.
