I ordered a lovely old Kasuga guitar from them on line based on pictures. Unfortunately the photos didn't not include the damaged fretboard. The guitar was a gift and was not inspected upon receiving. That is our problem to deal with. I accept that but it is the responsibility of the dealer in this case Indie Music to disclose all. When confronted I was simply told that they would check the photos.
I never heard back. Even after sending a photo. I never heard back. Buyer beware! They are nice enough to deal with but not so honest. Even if they don't refund me the least Indie Music could do is take ownership of their mistake.

Best place in the area for music equipment, supplies and lessons. Jeff is incredibly helpful as are the rest of the staff and we have found the instruction to be excellent. My son has done guitar, voice, piano, and drum lessons at Indy. We have purchased a couple instruments and assorted music supplies including a mixer. We've never been disappointed. Jeff sells quality new and used equipment at very fair prices. I could not recommend this place highly enough.

I had a broken amp on my hands. So, I took it in to see if they could get it going again, thinking I'd have to leave it there for at least a few days and it would be expensive. Instead, they took it apart right there in the lobby, got it working, and only charged me 20 bucks! While I was waiting, I saw an extremely reasonably price acoustic electric I'll probably be coming back for as well. Highly recommend these guys!

The best music store I have ever been to. period. Fairly small store, owned by an incredible guy named Jeff and it just has the local vibe you miss from the larger chain stores. The people that work here know what they are talking about but they don't make you feel like an idiot or that you are being sold to. One of the things that I love about this store is that no matter where you look, and there are lots of nooks and crannies to look in, you'll always find something interesting.
They have a great lesson department with numerous teachers and a very varied array of available instrument categories. I've been doing business here for over a year and have enjoyed every minute of it! I hope it stays forever!

I was more impressed with the service at Indie Music than at pretty much any other local business I've frequented. I was in the market for an acoustic-electric guitar upgrade. I shopped the larger chains and did a lot of online research before going to Indie Music. At the larger chains, I felt pressured every time I went to go try out some guitars.
At Indie Music, that wasn't the case. I walked in and had the guitar room pretty much to myself to try out the different acoustics. There was no pressure to buy or answer a bunch of questions about what I was looking for. When I finally narrowed down the selection to 2 guitars, they were very helpful answering any questions that I had. They even went so far as to pull out several different guitars of the same model, out of the boxes, to show that each guitar may sound slightly differently.
I was so impressed by their knowledge and friendliness that I bought my new guitar on the spot. They even gave me a good deal on my trade in. The day after I purchased my guitar was super cold and the humidity dropped to almost 0. 3 strings on the 13th and 14th frets wouldn't play. They told me to bring it right in and they made adjustments on the spot to get it working. I was told to keep them updated and bring it back so that they could get the guitar tuned in correctly. I'd recommend Indie Music to anyone!

I took my 9 year old to Indie Music for her band books, and wish I'd been there earlier. I play guitar and have had a wide range of music store experiences, mostly ending with "get me out of here NOW". That was not the case here. I wish we could have stayed for hours, and I will definitely be going back. The man working there was extremely nice, patient, and knew a great deal about music. Loved the vinyl on the wall, the casual atmosphere, the lack of "hard sell" tactics, all of it. Just go see for yourself.

I cannot say enough good things about Indie Music. Rarely do you find a music store with this sort of friendly, knowledgeable service. Indie Music is musician owned and operated. The owner Jeff is super knowledgeable, laid back, always willing to help, and is not going to try to up sell you or rake you over the coals like chain music stores. The store has guitars, guitar accessories, amps, lessons, and a killer drum room with more drum accessories than your average independent music store. Indie Music treats musicians the way they want to be treated.

The guys that own, operate and work here do so for all the right reasons. They love music and and are undeniably passionate about giving current musicians, as well as those looking to learn to become musicians, unparalleled and professional teachers/guidance and high quality gear at affordable prices. And this is comin from a guy who’s been playing guitar for over twenty years now and who also worked at that black hole called Guitar Center for one whole month. The place was a nightmare. Indie Music is in business for all the right reasons.
