Our goal is to teach music as a language. The courses are contemporary in approach and motivate students to pursue their love of music by developing their skills through practical experience. MSI explores all aspects of musicianship and theory with specific attention to aural training using the piano as the main instrument. MSI classes are specifically written with attention to the physical and intellectual ability of each age group, so whether you're 2 or 52, there is a class designed just for you.
Music Schools International is the first U.S. affiliate of the International School of Music (ISM) Network. ISM was launched in 1997 by a well-respected music educator, Rosalind Thrift. To date, there are 30 ISM affiliated music schools in Australia and New Zealand.

Brian Simmons
School Director
Brian has over 15 years of experience as a professional musician and music educator. Brian's passion for music began at the tender age of 8. As a young artist, he began taking piano classes with the ultimate dream of one day establishing schools to educate and teach others. A graduate from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, Brian holds a B.A. in Music Education and Film Scoring. He is a State of Georgia certified teacher and licensed director in the ISM curriculum. Brian has taught in the Boston Public Schools and the Dekalb County school system.

Mr. B and Ms. Lily are amazing musicians and teachers. They make piano fun and interesting for all ages. My daughter started at 4 and she easily learned to hear, sing, read and play music on the piano with this curriculum. I learned piano with a more classical approach 30 years ago and so appreciate this well rounded approach! I highly recommend PTC Music Schools International.

I cannot say enough good things about Music Schools International and the staff! It is like a second home to us! We are so thankful for the musical community they have built. We have made very close friends there. The staff truly loves music and children! Their talent for teaching children music theory and nurturing love and excitement for music is amazing! We highly recommend MSI for all ages! Adults too!

We've been attending MSI since 2012 and loving every second of class. All my kids started at age 3 and 4 and we intend to continue coming here for a lifetime of learning. My kids have inspired me to continue my music education too. Brian and Nicole are definitely an extension of our family and all families that come here are happy and respectful people. I honestly can't imagine our lives without Mr. & Mrs. B.

Mr. B and Mrs. B really love what they do. You never have to worry about the quality of your children's music education when you're there. It's such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that everyone just feels like one big family. They really take care of their clients and are willing to go above and beyond for everyone who walks through their door.

Music School International is a dream come true for anyone with a desire to learn and master the piano. Not only is it a perfect and convenient location, I look forward to each class even more that the students! It is such a joy to see the progression of not only my granddaughter, but each student in the class. Mr. & Mrs. B are absolutely awesome; they are professional, personable, patient, caring and humorous every single class.
The classes are fun for the kids and I watch my granddaughter learn at a perfect speed, building on her knowledge, skills and confidence week after week. As an extra bonus, the kids are really hilarious because of their new found skills, and will let the entire class know how much they love the classes It has been my pleasure to attend and observe every week and has restored long tucked away memories that I still want to learn piano too. With that said, I am planning to join Mr. B's adult classes very soon.

I would highly recommend Music Schools International in PTC to anyone interested in learning music and the piano! Mr. B has a talent for engaging children with a desire to learn music. His natural charisma and teaching abilities keep the children interested and willing to learn. We highly recommend this school to all of our friends and plan to attend for many more years to come!

My daughter loves music schools International. She has been with the school for four years and never complains about coming to piano class. To me this is huge, Mr. B makes learning piano fun. The kids really enjoy his energy and they want to excel. Mr. B has a connection with each child and he really cares and wants them to get the maximum benefit from the lessons. We are very pleased with our daughter's progress and see this investment in her future as time and money well spent
