Rates for composing jingles and scores are on a per project basis. Band's rates are $35.00 per hour. Ambient Studios started its humble beginnings in Cincinnati when founded by David Prues in 2003, offering audio production services to local indie artists and bands. By 2009, the company joined offices and production studio with Panoptic Media in the East Walnut Hills district of Cincinnati catering to local corporate companies as well as high profile international clients. In addition, Ambient Studios Mobile Recording was established in 2009 providing remote recording services for concerts, events and seminars.
This space was acoustically designed for recording with irregular room dimensions, slanted walls and high slanted ceilings to reduce unwanted flutter echo and room modes. Ideal for audio recording and also for great sounding mixes and mastering. We have a control room, vocal booth(with video monitor for ADR), a live room(14ft ceilings), a drum room, an iso booth, and a midi recording and edit suite.
We offer guitar, voice, drums, bass, and piano lessons. We have a group of quality instructors to help you reach your musical endeavors. All styles of music are taught and we can accommodate each students preferred learning method, whether it's sight-reading or playing by ear. We also offer Pro Tools software/hardware for recording small sessions, midi recording, and mixing and mastering.

Ambient Studios Music Academy is a full-service music school located in the heart of Cincinnati, Ohio. We offer a number of different musical programs for all ages and abilities, including private, semi-private, and group instrumental lessons. Ambient Studios Recording Engineer/Producer David Prues began playing drums for gigs at 13. He began composing and producing commercial music shortly after graduating from high school. He now has twenty years of production experience.
Prues has a music degree from Xavier University, with an emphasis in music technology. Ambient Studios music has aired nationally on MTV and VH-1. Prues has taught percussion at Roger Bacon High School, Music Makers, Midwest Music and Queen City Music.
Ambient Studios Music Academy offers instruction for keyboard, voice, guitar, bass, and drums. The lessons are $20 per half hour.

My band (Xero Hour) and I just finished/received the final product of our EP. We are more than pleased with the outcome! Due to covid, we were delayed (not the studios fault at all) in the beginning. David (our producer), was very kind in working with us and getting us in the studio to record amidst the craziness with the virus and shutdowns. Once we were in, David worked quickly and efficiently.
From helping to reposition mics, to giving us tips and making suggestions with different things. We Loved his input and put it use in many ways. He never once showed or presented any type of difficulties with us. And that says a lot as bands don't always get along with each other. David was as professional as they come, and was very cool to work with.
I will defiantly work with him again in the future and recommend anyone that is looking for a good, relaxed environment, as well as honest and up front atmosphere to record to check out Ambient Studios! You won't regret it!

We have loved working with Ambient Studios so far! As a band we aren't very experienced with the recording experience, but they have eased us into it and been patient with our growing pains. Their space is very comfortable and easy to get to, and their equipment and instruments are excellent. Looking forward to working with them in the future!

His technical know-how combined with his knowledge of music makes hours in the studio seem like minutes. He strives for the best quality and end result. I have been working in music and recording for almost 30 years and the folks at Ambient Studios just helped me produce the absolute best sounding recording I have ever been a part of. They are patient and easy to work with, have a great ear for music, and are experts on all aspects of recording, mixing, and mastering. I let a music friend from Miami, Florida listen to one of the songs and his comment was, it was the best thing he has ever heard coming out of Cincinnati.

They spent extra time evaluating the space and determining the best and most discreet ways to get the job done; essentially, they can adapt to any situation you throw at them. Plus, they're just really nice guys.
