Ryan Ridgeway opened Ridgeway Music Academy in April of 2010, a longtime dream of his. His goals and teaching methods include a higher form of teaching guitar instruction based on both his collegiate experience and years of professional guitar playing. Ridgeway Music Academy at this time offers guitar instruction from beginner through advanced levels with a curriculum strongly centered in guitar performance, music reading, theory, and ear training.

Ryan also offers weekend classes and seminars ranging from extra study classes to discussing the how to's of the music industry. Ryan also plans to work with local churches to develop weekend classes on developing and playing in modern and contemporary services. Ryan's goal with Ridgeway Music Academy is to provide a holistic approach to music instruction, where the student understands music and their instrument in its entirety, and in turn go out into the professional world of music confidently knowing that they can succeed in any situation with flying colors.

Ryan Ridgeway is a professional touring/session guitarist originally from Greenville, South Carolina. Ryan has toured with many renowned artists, has worked in California for Walt Disney Pictures, has major motion picture movie and soundtrack credits, and worked as a top session/touring guitarist in Nashville, TN where he also held highly regarded house-band positions at the Wildhorse Saloon and Cadillac Ranch on Broadway, all after completing his GIT guitar performance degree at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA, where he graduated with a 4.0 with honors. Ryan Ridgeway's journey has brought him full circle with the opening of two businesses; Ridgeway Music Academy and Leprechaun Pedalboards, in his hometown of Greenville, while still maintaining session work in both Nashville and Los Angeles via real time internet sessions, and travel. Ryan married Lindsey McKinney in July of 2010 and they now have settled down in Greer, SC.
