Our violin lessons in Mckinney use the Suzuki method. The Suzuki method teaching music using the mother tongue method. Based on the concept that all children who learn how to communicate are intelligent beings, Using their listening skills children pick up a complex language just by listening and then through trial and error they begin to recite words they need to communicate. Learning an instrument is not unlike learning a language, in that we use our auditory skills to play what we hear. Just as we learn to read after we speak, our young violinists learn how to read after they have the neccesary foundation in musicianship. The Suzuki program is a success when both private and group lessons are utilized, parents practice with their children at home on a regular basis and. Students have the opportunity to perform at least twice a year in a formal setting and even more in a casual setting.

Our music school promotes musicianship in a holistic approach. We have classes for infants to performance driven programs for teens. Students can train for orchestra in cello, viola and violin. Gracenote Classical Academy of Music offers private music lessons in piano, violin, voice, and more. Our private lessons offer students a challenging achievement program and a full round scope in music theory. Our school also offers wonderful group classes that include preschool piano, Music Together, and Suzuki violin classes.

Our violin teachers are Suzuki method trained but also offer traditional violin instruction depending on a student's goals. Our Suzuki teachers are members of the Suzuki Association of America and use the mother tongue method to teach young students musicianship. The Suzuki program when properly followed yields unparalleled results.

Our teachers use a variety of methods to teach piano, including Wunderkeys for preschool piano classes, Piano Adventures for kids and teens, and Alfred's Adult courses for adults. Piano lessons are taught as private, one-on-one music instruction and are available in lengths of 30, 45, and 60 minutes.
