Cello and Violin teacher. Ms. Yeates uses methods learned from former teachers, peers, or those she has developed over the past 25 years of teaching. She is sensitive to the particular needs and requests of each individual student. Ms. Yeates has a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Texas State University and holds K-12 Teaching Certificates in Arizona, Texas and Florida.She has taught over 3,000 students through private lessons, directing large school orchestra programs and as a summer music camp clinician. Her students have won numerous awards and gone on to play professionally.

Courney Yeates is a highly trained musician and an experienced teacher. While classically trained to the highest standards, she possesses a diverse repertoire of musical styles and instruments. She is a beautiful balance of fun youthful energy and precision, and her warm, genuine personality carries over into her instruction. From what I have experienced, her instruction is highly individualized, and she is definitely willing and able to take on adult students successfully as well as children.
It is my impression that she will work her utmost to bring each student up to their highest potential and she is remarkably equipped to do so. I've continued to be impressed by how quick, efficient, flexible, fluent, and comfortable Courtney is with the arsenal of instructional techniques in her toolbox. It is amazing how much she can pack into a lesson while still making it fun! Enthusiastically recommended!

Courtney is a vivacious and patient cello teacher. I played as a child and have picked it up again because of her and the way she teaches. She is so talented in her own right and is completely flexible but keeps you on target. I'm having more fun than I can imagine. I actually want to practice and perform!

I have known Mrs. Yeates-Levy for many years. We were friends in college, roommates while we taught in the public schools and have been friends since. I have had the wonderful opportunity to see her in action during her first, and extremely testing, job teaching in a public school that was less than desireable for a first year teacher. Courtney took this orchestra program from playing in a cafeteria to having a room, increasing enrollment and having students make all-state.
She has a way with words and understands her instruments so well that she can explain to anyone just what she wants them to do and the result she knows they should get. Her passion for what she does is beyond anyone's I have met in my years of teaching. Mrs. Yeates-Levy is an incredible teacher. To learn under her guidance is a blessing and a privilege.

Courtney has been teaching my 16 year old cello for about 3 months now. She is engaging and interesting and he is thrilled with her. She never fails to ignite his love of music or his passion for the cello. She is extremely talented and I love listening to her play. Her own passion and excitment is clearly written on her face when she plays. I highly recommend her.
