Are you exploring the idea of piano lessons? If you're looking for a patient and enthusiastic teacher who provides quality music education with an element of fun, you will find it here!
Emily has been teaching private piano lessons to students of all ages for more than 5 years and is passionate about teaching and sharing the gift of music with others!
Lessons are weekly and half an hour in length. The 2011-12 tuition is $75 per month. Monthly tuition includes weekly lessons, makeup lessons, access to music lending library, studio games and competitions, and an annual recital.
Weekly lessons are tailored to each student's needs. A typical lesson includes work on artistic pieces of repertoire as well as a focus on theory, ear training, sight reading, proper technic, and developing practice skills...all at the individual student's level. Because she believes strongly in a solid musical foundation, Emily and her young beginners spend much time integrating rhythm and basic musicianship as well as keyboarding skills. This is often accomplished by games and learning activities that keep lessons exciting and energetically fun!
Lessons are taught in Emily's home studio. Emily has a music lending library with many supplemental pieces of repertoire and fun music that her students have access to. Emily also has limited ability for lessons taught in students homes. Tuition is the same for in-home lessons; however, there is an additional cost for travel time.
Emily's Piano Studio hosts a formal spring recital every spring. The spring recital is an exciting time for students to display their hard work and diligence to their family and friends. Participation in the recital is strongly encouraged.

Emily's love for piano is apparent and she does a wonderful job passing that on to her students! She does a great job making lessons fun and painless for her younger students while teaching them fundamental musical skills. She does a great job motivating and challenging her older students to strive for excellence in their playing while learning to enjoy music.

Emily was a great teacher, she was REALLY nice and taught me well. I was just past being a beginner and she helped me inprove my skills. Emily will push you gently to do what you think you can't do (but she shows you that you really can:) ) She was a great teacher and I miss her A TON now that she's living in MN.

My daughter, Ashley, took piano lessons from Emily for 2 years. She is such an amazing teacher, and my daughter loved her. Emily was able to teach in a fun, motivating way that kept my daughter interested in learning and practicing. Emily's knowledge and passion for music is contagious. But most of all, she loves the Lord and wants to serve Him. We miss her and wish you would send her back to PA!
