My name is Eric Hankinson, I've been a full- time, professional music teacher for over 13 years and have taught nearly 25,000 private lessons.Beginner through intermediate levels taught. I specialize in teaching beginners and children and have vast experience with both.
Serving Cleveland and west side suburbs: I am available for private lessons 7 days a week at my studio in Lakewood. Learn scales, modes, chords, arpeggios, chord/melody style, improvisation, ear training, music theory, reading and a variety of techniques and songs in several styles.
Techniques taught include: picking, finger picking, pick and finger technique, chord/melody playing, bending, sliding, hammer-ons and pull-offs, muting and sweep picking.
Lessons are customized to each students individual abilities and goals. I also make myself available (to serious students) for free music theory lessons outside of their normal lesson time.

I was a music major at Niagara County Community College. (in upstate New York) After graduating I attended Buffalo State College as a music major. I studied privately with several renowned teachers in Buffalo, NY over a ten year period. I have a structured approach to teaching that has been very successful over the years. Several students have studied with me for five or more years.
I have taught nearly 25,000 private lessons over the past twelve years and currently have two former students who are attending the prestigious Berklee School of Music in Boston.
