Amy Donahue began to play the piano at the tender age of 7 at elementary school. As her proclivity to music increased she furthered her instruction under the classic pianist, Dorothy Solmes. When she was 16 she started playing piano professionally for special events and business functions. Since that time she has built her career around playing and teaching music instruction.
Ms. Amy teaches piano, guitar and voice. Additionally she offers musical theory instruction that examines the language and notation of music. Scales, drills, rhythm and harmonic notation are also included for both music and voice lessons.
We welcome students ages 5 and up. Ms. Amy offers lessons ranging from brand-new beginners to advanced professionals. She works to meet students at their level and provides additional instruction to grow their experience and enjoyment of music playing.

The primary goal of music instruction is to help students acquire the necessary information to master an instrument. Learning how to play and read music is like learning a language; your brain develops new pathways to process the information. Realize the differences between composers, styles of music and historical significance of specific music pieces.
Regularly scheduled lessons are essential in creating mastery of skill. In order to progress, students should take one lesson a week. Booking a lesson is a quick and easy process. While learning anything new takes time, Ms. Amy guarantee's that the student will increase in knowledge and performance skill.

Patient, kind, comfortable. Ms. Amy's Studios is the place you go to learn a new instrument and have the warm, nurturing environment to do it in. She teaches kids and adults alike, has a wonderful teaching manner and a great methodology.
