Services
Christine's schedule is currently full. You can request to join her wait list if you would like to wait for a timeslot to open up in her schedule. Violin & Viola students participate in weekly lessons, monthly group classes, & recitals and community performances each year. Christine Goodner has an education degree & extensive teacher training through the Suzuki Association of the Americas.
Lessons are offered Monday - Thursday depending on your schedule and openings in Mrs. Goodner's teaching schedule. Students study at their own pace with an emphasis on technique & ear training. After learning the basics of holding the violin & playing with the best sound possible students will spend time studying note reading, rhythmic exercises, music theory & scales so that they develop into well rounded musicians, as well as string players.
We take major school holidays off )see below) and have continuous enrollment, meaning you are welcome to join in at any time during the year (if there is space in the class). We hold classes for 32 weeks September - May & classes work out to be $16/class and families pay to hold their spot in class by either the month, or the quarter.
Mrs. Goodner is cohost of this podcast that is all about "teaching music, learning music, & parenting music students" Your sure to find an episode that is helpful to your own situation! Read articles all about how to help our children succeed and how to enjoy the process as parents! This is the book I kept looking for to give my students!

Kim (parent of Zoe - a student for 7 years)
"Christine Goodner has been my daughter's violin theacher for 7 years. Zoe has flourished under her guidance. Christine teaches technique, music theory, proper ergonmics, and the joy of playing violin. She has been flexible with the school work load, which helps when times become stressful. Zoe relly enjoys Christine and I think she is a great teacher, too."

We really appreciate Christine's interest in each of our girls. They are so different in their learning styles and Christine is able to work with both of them in their strengths. We appreciated Christine's willingness to broaden the girls outside of Suzuki music. She encouraged learning fiddling, hymns, Christmas pieces and more. She's a great resource for what's happening the in the broader community of music for camps, play groups, symphonies, and more. We loved having Christine as our teacher for so many years!

"My son has grown to be wonderfully competent on the violin under Ms. Goodner's tutelage. More importantly he has learned to turn notes and technique into beautiful music. I am constantly amazed at the quality of sound she produces in my son. Ms. Goodner also has a brilliant way of connecting with her students. She knows who my son is and how to use that to challenge and motivate him."
