My piano studio contains a large instructional area which consists of a complete recording studio featuring the Kawaii RX3 professional grand piano. The other studios have a computer, and the necessities for teaching guitar, drums, vocalists, and the other instruments. Located in the waiting area is a computer, keyboard, music library, and many other valuable resources beyond what most instructors are capable of in a music store environment.My hours at the studio are contingent on the needs of my students and their appointments. Call or text me at any time. I will answer all text inquiries as quickly as possible. If you call during an appointment, please leave me a message with your need and I will call you back after or between student lessons. If there is a need to drop off a rental instrument or acquire one, I can make a specific appointment with you that will match your schedule. I am often at the studio seven days a week.

Jeffrey Althouse
Owner
Jeff Althouse earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio and his Master of Arts degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. He is the director of the Saint Cloud Presbyterian Chancel Choir, instructs over fifty students a week, and is a free lance musician playing with many local bands.
As an educator, Althouse has been teaching piano, brass, and vocal lessons for over twenty years. He began teaching at The Fame Conservatory in Youngstown, Ohio, and The Warren Music Center in Warren, Ohio. While in Florida he taught at Mars Music in Orlando, The Music Shack in Casselberry, Florida and at Jammers Music Center in Saint Cloud, Florida. After Jammers closed the St. Cloud store in 2009, Althouse chose to open his own music school now known as Mr. Jeff�s Music Academy.
Moving to Florida in 1996, Althouse played as a substitute on trombone for the Disney Magic Kingdom World Band and the Kids of the Kingdom Band. He has also performed with the Dr. Otto Jazz Combo, Orquestra Sensual, the Chosen Few, the Cotton Davis Band, Michael Barr and the Now and Then Band. He also performs solo piano.

Mr. Jeff's Music Academy has become home to me. I have been a part of his academy for 15 years. Mr. Jeff is an excellent teacher. He is so knowledgeable and is still teaching me new things after 15 years! I can never learn enough from him about music. He has his masters in jazz piano performance and is an incredible musician himself. He plays nearly every instrument and is willing to instruct from saxophone to a wide array of instruments. You will enjoy your lessons under his instruction!

Me and my family were going to this teacher and it was good for a moment. But about a couple weeks passed by and my 10 year old sister had gymnastics practice on short notice so we couldn't make it and we didn't have time to call him. We then drove over to him after we dropped her off and the teacher SNAPPED. He started screaming about how we have to tell him in advance, and I knew that, I thought it was not a problem if it was only once. He kicked us out screaming and we've never gone back since then.

As an adult, I have taken piano lessons from Mr. Jeff and found him to be most professional, patient, flexible and encouraging. He does everything in his power to make learning interesting and fun, has a wonderful sense of humor, and is genuinely interested in sharing his love and knowledge of music with the world.
