I am a private double bass instructor living in Ellicott City, Maryland. Currently, I am in the first year of my Master of Music degree in double bass performance at the Peabody Conservatory of Music. I teach students of all experience levels. Kimberly Parillo
Music Teacher
Kimberly Parillo has been teaching double bass lessons since 2007, through her private studio and previously for Amadeus Home Music School. Her students have won awards at festivals and have also had success auditioning for various performing opportunities.
Ms. Parillo is in the first year of her Master of Music degree in Double Bass Performance at the Peabody Conservatory of Music, where she is a student of Ira Gold (National Symphony Orchestra). Prior to her work at Peabody, Ms. Parillo graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Double Bass Performance from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, where she studied with Glenn Dewey (principal bass, Marine Chamber Orchestra).
Kimberly Parillo has regularly performed with the American Festival Pops Orchestra and a number of chamber ensembles in the Washington Metropolitan Area. In 2010 she was hired as the assistant principal double bassist of the Loudoun Symphony Orchestra.
