Music Together is a research-based early childhood music program. All children are naturally musical and have the ability, from birth, to learn music. Nurturing children's innate musicality as early as possible provides a strong foundation for later success. In the Music Together program, we introduce children to the pleasures of actively making music, which is critical for their music development. Many parents may not realize that they are their child's most important music teachers even if they don't consider themselves musical. It is not important that caregivers sing or move perfectly; what matters is that they model the enjoyment of making music. In our program, we provide families with the tools to joyfully and enthusiastically make music together.
In our Prenatal Yoga Classes we do postures to help strengthen expectant mommies and prepare them for birth, by keeping the body flexible, and alleviating many common discomforts of pregnancy. We also help pregnant moms to find their calm center through meditation and the breath, preparing them for a healthy, mindful, more natural approach to labor and birth.
Our Mommy and Me Yoga classes create a space for new mommies to bond and support each other while simultaneously helping their bodies to regain strength and flexibility. We use yoga postures to help moms regain abdominal strength, body flexibility and tone. We incorporate songs and movement with the babies and gentle massage on the babies to help bond & relax.
In our children's yoga classes, little yogis learn to strengthen their focus, improve their flexibility, and discover ways to be with life's challenges. In class, children learn asana, pranayama, and meditation but also get to explore and experience creative movement, games, world music, creative visualization, art, laughter, and play.

Services
Every week at Moon River Mother And Child, young children and the grownups who love them come together to play together musically. Little ones love playing along in class, and caregivers love being a part of their children's growth into confident music-makers. And everyone loves our songs that'll have you tapping along in no time.
Since 1987, Music Together has introduced millions of children, parents, and teachers to the joys of family music-making and the powerful benefits of having music in their lives. We've brought joy to our community since 2008! From babyhood through the early elementary years, Music Together nurtures each child's natural musicality in a playful, musically rich learning environment.
Every child LOVES Music Together! During the early years, it is extremely important that parents and caregivers be the ones who create a nurturing environment. Children are biologically "wired" to respond most to those with whom they have close bonds. Music Together classes help you build that bond. Best of all, it's fun!
Welcome to Music Together Sing Shalom, the new Jewish music class for families with young children (birth-age 5)! The weekly parent-child music classes combine everything you love about the internationally recognized Music Together early childhood music education program with a carefully selected collection of familiar (and not-so familiar) Jewish songs from throughout the world.
Tuition is $298 for one child, $150 for sibling over 12 months, and $50 for additional siblings over 12 months. Your tuition includes one professional recorded CD, links for digital downloads, and a beautifully illustrated songbook with family activity suggestions. Classes include parent education to help adults understand and enhance their child's music development.

Catherine
Director
Catherine has been singing professionally for the past 25 years. She studied classical and jazz voice at Ithaca College in NY. Upon graduation she began a career as a singer/songwriter of adult contemporary music and in the mid-nineties, released her first album. Since then, Catherine has released 4 albums and has had a song featured in an independent film. Her interest in the healing properties of music led her to study Music Therapy at Montclair State University. More recently she has been studing vocal improvisation with jazz legend Bobby McFerrin. She started teaching Music Together after taking her son, Max to the classes and falling in love with the program. Catherine is celebrating her 10th year of teaching Music Together.
After spending the past decade teaching early childhood music and doing yoga, Catherine Moon brings her love of music and yoga together in unique classes for mommies and their little ones. Catherine's background is in Integral Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, and Iyengar, and she combines her favorite elements of all these styles. Her Prenatal Yoga classes tend to be slower-paced with an emphasis on stretching, breathing techniques, and meditative practices. Her Mommy and Me Postnatal Yoga classes add musical play to the yoga experience, and cater to mothers with infants up to 1 year old. Catherine completed her 200 hour Yoga Certification through Paula Heitzner at the New Age Center in Nyack. She completed her Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga training through Debra Geymayr at Prenatal Plus Yoga in Miami Florida. Both programs are recognized by Yoga Alliance, making Catherine an RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) and an RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher).
