For decades Randy has entertained and delighted audiences both regionally and around the country. Now he is proud to have assembled a group of extremely talented musicians and entertainers, ready to cater specifically to your event or venue. Motown, Beach, Soul, Country, Rock, Pop, Funk and Disco are among the many styles performed by this crowd pleasing band.

All of the above! They are excellent musicians, to start with. They added requested first dance selections with pleasure and delivered them with excellence. People loved dancing to their music and also listening to them. They worked with us to plan a special surprise sendoff that blew my daughter and her husband away.

Randy Clay is currently accepting students for private instruction on acoustic/electric guitar, banjo, bass and drums in Concord, NC. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a BA degree in music, Randy is a professional musician with decades of experience playing, recording, teaching and touring all styles of music.

Randy has been playing since the tender age of 6. First, playing with family based band, The Spades in the 1960's. During this time he co wrote, sang and drummed on the songs, "When I Get To Going" and "I'm So Happy", which were recorded at Arthur Smith Studios in Charlotte, NC. Drum rhythms were not enough for Randy, so at age 8 he began learning to play the guitar which added a more melodic element to his music. His influences were across the board in styles, making him a very versatile player. Later in the 70's he got his degree in music from the University Of North Carolina Charlotte. Randy has performed and recorded professionally, both locally and nationally with Rock, Jazz, R&B, Country and Beach bands through the 90's. Most notably, Bits And Pieces, Savannah Jack, The Steppe Brothers, City Kids, Station To Station, The Fantastic Shakers, The Breeze Band and Billy Scott and many more. In recent years he is refining his songwriting skills even more, playing studio sessions, performing solo and with family band The Real Clays. Randy is proficient on Guitar, Bass, Banjo, Drums, Voice and teaches and records at his music store/studio, Music Consultants Entertainment, Inc. and Uwharrie Music in Troy, NC
