What we offer
Report
Our teachers are some of the most talented, well-rounded music teachers in the county. They are all highly educated and have both performance and recording experience. Their list of accomplishments is both extensive and varied, ranging from winning a Grammy to composing film scores. Most importantly, they all have a great feel for what the student needs and personalize their lessons accordingly. Beyond that, they know how to keep students motivated, having fun, and reaching their full musical potential. Our boutique voice teaching company that grew into one of the largest music schools in Southern California. We're a singing school based in Orange County whose goal it is to teach you the styles and techniques you want to learn. We shape well-rounded musicians out of all sorts of people: young, not-so-young, pre-professional, and casual.
They're an experienced, educated, and dedicated team of musicians. How do we know that for sure? Our teachers undergo a rigorous hiring process where we evaluate their character, ability, background, and experience. We also host free workshops for our teachers on a regular basis. Music teaching isn't a learn-it and leave-it field.

Molly Gutman
Owner & Founder
Molly has been a musician for over 20 years. She was trained in vocal technique by Andrew Boettner and Bruce McClurg and studied vocal performance techniques in New York City under vocal coach, Jay Bradley. She was also classically trained in piano by teachers Rizia Lin and Ron Anderson and has progressed up to level 10 in the Certificate of Merit program.
In 1996 she passed a Guild audition at the international level. In 1999 and 2000, she apprenticed at Ann Reinking's famous Broadway Theatre Project, where she trained with such notables as Julie Andrews, Gwen Verdon, and Ben Vereen.
In the summer of 2008, Molly toured Italy singing with a choir that performed at the Duomo in Milan, St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, and St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City. The tour concluded when the choir performed for Pope Benedict XVI. At the age of 18, she began writing and recording her own music.

My sixteen year old son has been taking voice lessons for 2 years with Anne and his talent has grown tremendously! She is very knowledgeable, fun and kind. The improvement he has shown is definitely due to the quality of teaching that was provided. The owner Molly is also a very kind and understanding person. Her treatment of clients is exemplary.
My son also received coaching for his drama musical theatre performances from Anne which led him to a leading role! I cannot thank Molly's team enough for such enjoyable and high-quality teaching.

My daughter is 9 years old and has been taking lessons for several years at Molly's Music in Orange. We've had nothing but positive experiences. She has learned so much and has improved vocally, socially, and has gained confidence both on and off the stage. She loves the recitals, pop camps, and the other various opportunities Molly's Music provides for kids her age. I would absolutely recommend Molly's Music for vocal and/or instrumental lessons.

My two daughters have been taking lessons with Anne for about 18 months. The quality of the instruction is excellent. I really like the flexibility of the lessons - they practice voice while also learning instruments (my girls have worked on both guitar and piano). Of course, I have to push the kids to practice, but they do genuinely enjoy the classes and they really look forward to choosing the next song they will work on. They've made real progress in their time there, and the recitals (about 4 a year) have really helped them build confidence performing in front of a crowd. Also, the recitals are quite fun - these are not the kind of events where you see your kid perform then wait impatiently for the show to end. There are definitely some future stars in this group, and it's impossible to not enjoy display of hard work and talent of all of the students.

Molly is an amazing teacher with incredible technical skills and an amazing attitude. She is so encouraging that my daughter (14 years old) feels comfortable to take more risks with increasingly difficult songs. She looks forward to her lessons with Molly and is so enthused from the amount of progress she makes with each lesson. I would highly recommend Molly.

My 8&10 year old kids have been taking lessons with Molly's Music since September of this year and we couldn't be happier. Sarah is always a pleasure to communicate with when scheduling lessons and is extremely helpful whenever I have any questions. Greg teaches both of my kids (and will teach my youngest in about 6 months) and we are so thrilled with him.
He is fantastic with my kids and they look forward to their voice and piano lessons every week. I absolutely love his teaching style and demeanor. I have a music and art background and he impresses me every week. To have someone as skilled at his craft as he is teach your kids is amazing. I've been taking lessons with Molly for almost a year now. She's an amazing teacher with tons of knowledge. She is able to explain to me what I'm doing wrong (with placement, etc.) in a way that is easy to understand and fix! She's always a huge supporter of anything you want to do. She's helped me with so many auditions, and I'm so thankful I found her so close to where I go to school.
I originally am from Vegas, and I was very scared that I wouldn't find anyone as great as my teacher from Vegas. Molly and Molly's Music have far exceeded my expectations, and I strongly recommend them to anyone looking to learn to sing, build technique, etc. You can't go wrong with Molly's Music. My daughter recently started taking lessons from Molly and she loves it! With my daughter's reserved personality I wasn't quite sure how the lessons were going to go but Molly has a way of bringing out the best in her. I do believe my daughter's range and pitch has improved in the short time that she's been taking lessons. More importantly, my daughter is enjoying her lessons and even decided to join Glee! Sarah is also great and makes OC Glee a lot of fun for the kids. I highly recommend Molly's Music.

We absolutely love Molly's Music! They have been amazing to us. My son started with them about a year ago taking voice, guitar and piano. After the obvious huge improvement that we witnessed with him, we signed up our daughter to take voice. She loves it! They take from two different teachers at the studio, Ben Wachman and Michael Gasparro, which is a testament to the high quality teachers across the board. We love the administration as well. They work patiently with our crazy schedules and make it happen for us! Thank you Molly's Music for investing in our kids!

I have nothing but GREAT things to say about Molly's. We started with Voice Lessons with Bryce. My son has gained a tremendous passion for music and singing since working with Bryce. He has steadily improved but most of all, simply enjoys his time singing during his lesson time. Sarah in the office is extremely sweet and helpful with lesson changes and quick to answer any questions that I have.
We had so much success with the voice lessons we started Piano lessons for both my boys with Anne. Once again, we've been blessed with another great teacher! It doesn't seem to be coincidence. Molly's just hires a great staff! : We are very pleased and are even looking into adding Guitar into our week of lessons! LOVE LOVE LOVE Molly's programs!

Molly has been my voice teacher for 2 years now and she is amazing. I started off with voice but added piano so I can accompany myself when I sing. She has helped develop my breath control, how to use different sounds to make the notes sound better, and has been instrumental in teaching me how to read music for singing and piano. I started with Molly after I got into Orange County School of the Arts but she has helped me get though countless auditons and performances.
I know she has a great track record getting students into OCSA. I have a different kind of voice and she has helped me so much in developing my unique sound since I perform often with my guitar or with my band. Molly's Music is an excellent place to get what you need for musical talents.

I highly enjoy my lessons here. The Costa Mesa Studio is nice and welcoming. Ben Wachman is my vocal coach, and he is a great teacher. I never feel an ounce of judgment, he is friendly, and he is one talented gentleman that is able to play the guitar and piano. Not to mention that his singing is superb and he is great at helping me find ways to sing notes that I have difficulty with. Molly's Music is professional, customer friendly, and I highly recommend it.

I am a working professional interested in expanding my vocal skills. I began taking lessons with Ben Wachman this May and have certainly succeeded in my goal. Ben is patient, encouraging and offers helpful solutions to any singing issue I'm having. One thing I really like about Molly's Music more broadly is that they make rescheduling lessons easy.

Both of my daughters have worked with Molly over the past two years. Their development in voice and piano has been excellent and Molly is a true professional. Love this place!!! They are absolutely amazing! Not only is Molly herself incredibly talented at singing but she has a gift to be able to communicate to her students exactly how to use techniques and apply them to their voice to reach levels they never thought possible. Well worth the money. They are very accommodating and are always organized and very friendly. We have been going to Molly for years and we have never had a bad experience.
