Charles Lindbloom
Owner & Primary Drum/Percussion Instructor
I have been a drummer/percussionist for the last 44 years and teaching since the age of 16 when I got my first teaching job at Dietze Music in downtown Lincoln for 3+ years. I am a former member of the "Commandants Own" US Marine Drum & Bugle Corps from Washington, D.C. as a rudimental snare drummer and triple player. I am currently serving with the 43rd Army Band in Lincoln by fulfilling my role as the Percussion Group Leader which includes decisions & leading the percussion section, performing on timpani, snare, mallets & all auxiliary percussion, drum set player for the jazz & small group rock/country band AND the Drum Major of the marching band for the last 22 years!
I was a percussion major at UNL in 1980-81 and then enlisted in the Marine Corps and attended the military School of Music. Although I have a Bachelor of Science In Architecture degree from UNL, I have stayed very active musically and performed in myriads of musical groups including classic rock, original rock, country, blues, jazz, polka, progressive rock & a multitude of church organizations throughout Lincoln & Omaha! I am also open to do drum/percussion clinics for drummers/drum lines at any local community school or to be a judge at a competition! For a "FREE" initial 15 minute lesson & evaluation in order to find out the students level of skill and gain insight into the kind of instruction from a veteran music teacher & performer, please contact me at your earliest convenience!
