The Marilou Padilla Gallardo Piano/Organ/Keyboard Studio, in operation since 1990, is based in 7411 Roanne Drive, Oxon Hill,Maryland 20745 with a following of more than ninety enrolled keyboard students from the metro Washington D.C., Southern Maryland, and Northern Virginia areas. Marilou Padilla Gallardo is the principal operator and director of the studio.The studio specializes in quality private piano, organ, keyboard lessons from beginner to advanced levels and accepts students from 4 to adult. The emphasis of the studio is in the development of the keyboard performer to the advanced stages of performing. Lesson programs are designed to meet the specific individual needs of each student. All genres and styles of keyboard music are taught. This includes a balance of method studies, theory, sight reading, technique and repertoire appropriate for the graded student level of proficiency.
Concert repertoire for study include classical,Latin,jazz,religious/gospel,
Filipino and contemporary popular music.Concerts,recitals and other performance opportunities and venues are highly encouraged and available for the musical development and benefit of the students.

In 2002, she also founded the MPG Keyboard Artists and Friends,Inc. ,a non profit organization with a 501(c) 3 status recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as well as the State of Maryland sponsoring cultural and community concert events to promote awareness in the keyboard performing arts. Mrs Gallardo is the current chief executive officer of the organization.

Mrs. Marilou is an excellent master of music, who's been teaching piano, organ and keyboard to the WDC area for well over 30 years now. As a former student myself, I believe in her so much that I am now sending my own children to her. She runs a professional studio, with students of all ranges, from little tots who can't reach the pedals to adults. and seniors.
Her strict method of teaching and constant guidance, is foolproof in developing students who excel in sight reading, musical interpretation and stage manner in performances. Check back constantly and check often, as she is often loaded with students! But she DOES go out of her way to adjust for your availability, including weekends & late evening hours.
For inclement weather or personal travel issues, she can even do a class online with you - that's how much she cares about the students' improvement. I can't say enough good things about her & highly recommend her to anyone looking to begin piano or organ (my personal favorite!) studies!
Her strict method of teaching and constant guidance, is foolproof in developing students who excel in sight reading, musical interpretation and stage manner in performances. My aunt Marilou is perhaps the most talented music whiz I know. Her talent is absolutely phenomenal. She used to teach me how to play the organ, keyboard, and piano (literally, all 3). Not because she's my aunt, but I highly recommend this studio. She is one heck of an effective, life-changing mentor. One thing I appreciate about her is how she engages people to help develop their confidence in themselves.
This skill goes a very long way and extends to other areas of their lives. I have tons of things to say about her and how this piano studio developed me but all I know for a fact is if I ever have kids and they are interested in music, I already know where they'd be signing up. Thank you for all the patience and amazing lessons you've taught!
