Guitar & Bass Lessons
Report
Guitar & Bass Lessons Our guitar teachers teach Rock, Pop, Blues, Jazz, Metal, R&B, Country, and Classical guitar lessons on electric, acoustic and bass guitars. Beginner students can expect to work on their favorite songs using simple bass lines, chords, melodies, sight reading and theory. Our primary goal is to teach you how to play your favorite songs and we balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept. We use a variety of guitar method workbooks to accomplish this and encourage students to bring CDs or their iPad to their lesson to learn their favorite tunes.
Piano Lessons
Report

Through incorporating your favorite songs into your lessons, our piano faculty will show you the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory. You do not have to have a piano at home to take lessons. A simple full size electronic keyboard will suffice. Our piano teachers have warm personalities and enjoy sharing their love for the piano with you.

My daughter has been taking Voice Lessons with Atlanta School of Musical Arts for about a year and a half now. Their customer service is exemplary! Whenever I have a question, I am always provided with a prompt response. The care that is shown to ensure that information is clearly communicated goes such a long way! My daughter's instructor is Ann Montano. Ann is truly AMAZING and my daughter's voice is getting stronger each lesson. Ann is very patient, caring, and an overall joy to work with! I would recommend her and the school as a whole to the entire world and beyond!

My kids have been going here for about 4 months for their piano lessons, I can only say it has been a great experience. The kids love it, the instructor ( Oliver ) is very professional and has a lot of patience with my kids. They love how he explain things. My kids are already playing piano by themselves.

Our 12 year old boy has had piano classes here for over 2 years. We pay just a little more for in-house lesson which is so much worth is considering the time spend preparing and driving to the school. We've had 2 teachers throughout, and both were excellent although different at the same time. This worked out great for our student. We also have started our 8 year old in piano as well. We highly recommend Atlanta School of Musical Arts!

I took guitar lessons from Mostai for about 7 months to prepare for college jazz auditions. He was well-versed in all genres and was able to instruct me in whatever direction I wanted. I came to him having learned much of music theory online through Youtube videos. He was able to direct what I had already learned and show me how to apply it in the right way.

In addition, he showed me new theory but always demonstrated it in the context of a song. During those 7 months, my chord vocabulary, knowledge of scales and complex harmony, and technique all drastically improved. I wouldn't have gotten into the music colleges I did without his help.

Our 5-year-old boy has been taking piano lessons for a couple months now from ASMA and so far we've had a great experience. First, our instructor, Bridget, comes to our house for lessons, which is amazing in itself. Second, she really meets our son at his level and makes each and every lesson fun for him, so that he looks forward to the next one. As a guitar player, it seems the great majority of people I've known who have attempted to take piano lessons as children (or even adults) end up quitting, usually because the traditional approach to piano is so dry, boring, and intimidating.

The first order of business in any music instruction is to make it fun - play to the joy of making music, which is in most people, really. Our instructor does this - she makes piano fun and accessible for our son. I think the number one metric of success at this level is if your child is having fun and wants to continue.

My son has really enjoyed his piano lesson with Cameron Carey. My son started this school with no knowledge about the piano and now has progressed so much in a year. Cameron has given him insight on the ins and outs of the piano and is very detailed when teaching. This class has helped my son with being more independent having to come home and learn his lessons on his own. I would recommend anyone to Atlanta School of Musical Arts.

I just started taking piano lessons. Their director, Mostai, is very attentive and made the registration process easy. My instructor is very knowledgeable and customized the lesson plan toward my specific goals. I am excited to continue learning with them throughout the year!

Our daughter (6 yrs.) is learning the piano and enjoys every session. Now I have started playing the guitar as I like the setting at home and professional and personal way of learning. It is so much more fun and inspiring to learn playing an instrument by choosing the songs you like. It is amazing how much we have accomplished in only a few sessions. I can highly recommend Mostai and the Atlanta School of Musical Arts.

I have been using the services of Atlanta School of Musical Arts for over a year now and have been extremely satisfied. My son really likes his piano teacher Oswald, and he has shown great improvement since under his tutelage. I personally have been very happy with the level of instruction given and the ease of working with this company. I have not had any issues with scheduling, payments and overall communication with Mostai or Oswald. They have both been great to work with and very accommodating. I would recommend the Atlanta School of Musical Arts to anyone thinking of taking music lessons.

We have 2 boys who have been taking guitar and drum lessons for the past 8 months and have been having a great time and learning a lot. They started at age 7 with no prior musical experience and each has a 45 minute lesson taught by the same instructor (so one instructor comes to our house and does the lessons back to back) and this has worked really well.

We are really happy with everything and most importantly, our kids are learning music and having fun. I highly recommend this for anyone whose kids are interested in learning an instrument. The instructor is dependable and has established a great relationship with both boys and has been great.

I am an adult student learning guitar for the first time and it has been such a positive experience with Mostai as my instructor! I had a little bit of music theory knowledge but knew nothing technical about guitar. I could barely form full chord shapes when I began! Through his innovative and dynamic teaching methods, I have progressed extremely quickly.

He lets me select songs that I enjoy and adapts them for my playing abilities so I can still have fun playing the song. He has exposed me to various styles of music (pop, classic rock, blues, reggae) and builds upon previous lessons. I would highly recommend Mostai's lessons for guitar players of any age!

My 8 year old daughter has been taking private piano and voice lessons in our home through Atlanta School of Musical Arts for about 6 months and I have been completely happy with the service. Her instructor, Paige Hamilton, is a wonderful young woman. A talented professional singer and a good pianist in her own right, Paige is very professional, organized, and punctual, yet she is also very patient, encouraging, and does her best to make the lessons fun for my daughter.

I also appreciate that Paige leaves written notes on the assigned practice material for each week, and I also receive "lesson notes" via email each week. I have also found Atlanta School of Musical Arts to be professional, responsive and easy to work with, from the initial phone/email contact, to scheduling a sample class, to the automated system for making monthly payments, to allowing me to customize the lessons to suit my daughter's age and interests (her class is just 15 minutes of piano and 15 minutes of voice 1 time per week, which is perfect for her at this age). Overall, Atlanta School of Musical Arts and the instructor we were lucky to be assigned have been a very good fit for my family!

I love Atlanta School for the Musical Arts. You can't beat the convenience of having a teacher come to your home, and our teacher is fantastic. She does piano, guitar, and voice lessons and has a wonderful connection with my kids. We love the recitals that the kids get to perform in and the pricing is reasonable. Highly recommend!

Taking lessons with Mostai has been immensely helpful. He was able to tailor lessons exactly to my need and level. His knowledge of theory is a plus, especially in breaking it down and making theory user-friendly as opposed to intimidating. Also, I like the options shown for playing a chord progression in a more interesting way. Very professional and a great experience.

Moshe ("Mostai") Staimez has been teaching my nine-year-old son guitar for about a year and a half. He is an incredible teacher: precise yet patient and able to elicit hard work from a busy kid. He balances instruction in theory with the pleasure of playing whatever songs capture my son's imagination. In a span of months, my son was able to get over the hump of practice being a chore. Now he enjoys practicing and trying to impress Mostai, and he is a pleasure to listen to!

As a child I always wanted to take drum lessons but was never able to do so. After thinking about it for years, I finally started taking drum lessons now as an adult. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience with the Atlanta School of Musical Arts. My drum instructor is a GREAT teacher! He is patient, friendly and very talented. I started out from zero in February 2012 and now I play in a rock / blues band and even perform in bars around town.

I highly recommend the Atlanta School of Musical Arts to any person, young or old and with any level of experience. They have helped me fultfill a life long dream of being a drummer.

I can't say enough about my instructor from the Atlanta School of Musical Arts. I was looking for an instructor for two things: as a person who could help me with my songwriting and as a guitar and music instructor for my daughter. My music instructor from the Atlanta School of Musical Arts is an expert and consummate professional. Being that he has actually played with some big bands and recording artists, he taught me what it really takes to make it out there in the recording world.

With my songs he took the time to listen and told me what the recording industry is looking for today. It changed the entire way I write songs. My instructor also goes the extra mile making sure you or your child gets more than what you have paid for, with tips and things that he has learned along the way as professional musician. At the same time he also teaches you the theory so that you can do it all. The knowledge of the instructors at the Atlanta School of Musical Arts is worth more than their fees, don't miss out on it.

My instructor is an awesome teacher! Learning to play the guitar can be frustrating, but he was very patient with me and made sure I understood what we were learning before moving on to another lesson. I started as a beginner and after only 3 lessons, I was able to play chords and notes that I had no idea I was capable of learning! I highly recommend taking lessons from the Atlanta School of Musical Arts, you won't be disappointed!
