I can teach saxophone, clarinet, flute, piano and songwriting, arranging/composition.Lessons are now at the 4th street horn shop in Reno, NV. I have been on the Stevie Wonder and Buddy Rich big bands and have played on all Reno-Tahoe casino house orchestras and scored music for the Reno Philharmonic and other local symphony orchestras. Tom specializes in teaching, composition, arranging, orchestration, and of course live performance. A true professional for over 40 years Tom has shared the stage with Natalie Cole, Ray Charles, Ben Vereen, Glen Campbell, Stevie Wonder, Debbie Reynolds, Linda Ronstadt, Sammy Davis, Lou Rawls, Frank Sinatra Jr., Johnny Mathis, Sammy Davis Jr. and was Chairman of the Sierra Nevada College music department for 16 years.
After 40+ years of playing professionally and 16 years of full time instruction, Tom has the experience needed to tailor each student's lesson plan for maximum benefit. Beginner, expert, young, and not-so-young, all benefit from Tom's instruction. His enthusiasm and gentle approach based on positive reinforcement provide a very comfortable learning environment.
