Our passion is equipping students with the musical and creative tools they need to create music and ministry. While our hearts are focused on ministry, we are very passionate about all music. We teach all styles and genres of music on every instrument. Our expert teachers provide lessons for beginners, intermediate, and advanced musicians. We offer lessons in guitar, piano, violin, drums, voice, and bass. We've seen many students at Soar Music School make remarkable progress over time to become fantastic musicians.We also offer media lessons so that students can learn to use Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools, and build websites. These skills allow students build on their musical talent with a complete package of music-related tools. They'll be able to produce videos, websites, and band artwork all on their own.
At Soar Music School, we believe it's important to create a community around music. Instead of simply learning through lessons, our students show and enjoy their skills in a variety of ways. In addition to individual lessons, we offer a band program.
We group student musicians by age and ability to ensure that bands work well together. Through the program, bands work on learning songs, crafting their performance, and creating great shows. We encourage bands to show their skills to family and friends with performances at school or at church.
We hold regular Soar Music School concerts, where all students are encouraged to perform and watch their friends perform. We also have opportunities for our students to create recordings and music videos of their songs. These opportunities are tons of fun and are also highly rewarding for students who have worked hard to develop their talents.
We find that having such a well-rounded experience is much more enjoyable for students and leads them to make far more progress in music. At Soar, we know that music isn't only a skill you learn; it can be an important part of your life and something you want to celebrate every day. We love getting to be a part of personal and musical growth!

Presley founded Soar Music School in 2013 with a vision to not only teach his students how to play an instrument but also how to excel in ministry media. Presley's extensive experience with music has taught him the value of good instruction. At Soar, he values his teachers as the most important part of the music school, and he operates on the principle that the teachers define the success of the school.
Much of Presley's vision for the school comes from his own experience learning to do what he loved: play music. When he started wanting to play guitar, Presley was not able to take lessons. He loved music though and decided he would do all he could to make his own way and become a great musician.

2016 Soar Mixer Camp
At the Soar Music School Mixer Camp in Southlake, TX, beginner students learned the basic parts of running sound on analog mixers, digital mixers, and playing music with a DJ controller!
Day 1, students were faced with 3 different sound "jobs" and they had to set up the mixer, microphones, computers, and speakers set up according to each event.
Day 2, students got to sound check a band using a digital mixer!
Day 3, students got to learn 3 different types of DJ controllers and how to play and mix music together like an event DJ!

My son had his first drum lesson today with Presley and loved it! After the lesson, my son was so excited about the time he spent with Presley he was air drumming all through dinner! It takes a lot to get my son excited about something other than Legos and Presley won him over! Thank you so much for a great first impression! My son can't wait to come back next week!

I love hearing all the talented kids and getting to know the teachers at Soar Music School. There is definitely a drive for excellence with a focus on producing well-rounded musicians who love performing, recording, and writing music. And the concerts are super fun!! I attended the summer concert which was outdoors and complete with a full band setup. I have no reservations about promoting Soar Music School to perspective students and parents!

I only have positive things to say about Gail and Presley Miller. Our grandson came to visit us for a month and they welcomed him to have a month of lessons. They were professional, courteous and encouraging. I hope to enroll my grandson every summer at the Soar Music School. I am happy to highly recommend this school for your child or grandchild's musical enhancement.

LOVE the instructors. LOVE that it's a Christian environment. LOVE Josh. He has made learning the guitar fun for my daughter. She hates to miss a lesson. Its never a struggle to get her to practice. She has been taking lessons for 10 months now. Josh relates well and makes sure she has it before moving to the next thing. I highly recommend Soar Music School and Josh.

Excellent teachers. My son and I drive nearly an hour every week and it is well worth it. We have had a great experience. Not only are they excellent at playing the guitar but they are good with finding the students needs and play style. They are talented and not to mention Godly men (and women) who are gifted teachers. I highly recommend them if you're interested in learning to play music.

My 9 yr old daughter has been taking guitar lessons from Soar since September 2013 and LOVES it. The instructors make learning the guitar fun for her and she looks forward to her weekly lesson and is sad when we have had to miss one. I can't recommend SOAR enough if you have a child interested in learning an instrument!

Our son has had other teachers for both drums and guitar. They were able to teach the basics but not the love of music. Getting our son to practice with regularity and duration was a battle. Presley teaches the love of music first, then the basics. Practice is a whole lot less stressful now. Thanks.
