A frequently asked question is: What do you learn in music lessons? Well, here at CMA our teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals. We do not treat every student the same in terms of what and how we teach. A 7 year old having their first guitar lessons will have very different needs that a fifty year old taking up piano for the 2nd time after having had lessons as a child. Guitar Lessons

For ages 7 and up. Beginning students here can expect to learn chords, simple songs and melodies, beginning notation and tabs. Every week you will learn new songs after reviewing old ones. Lessons are fun and friendly and taught by a teacher who is also a musician and performer. Students are encouraged to bring in their cds or ipods if they want to show their instructor a new song that they would like to learn. Piano Lessons

Ages 5 and up. Piano lessons here at CMA are a blast! New concepts are introduced and reinforced through fun theory games and activities for the younger students. At the same time basic fundamentals such as sight-reading, technique, theory and ear-training are taught by a qualified teacher who is also a musician/performer. Lessons are tailored to the individual and students are encouraged to request or bring in music that they wish to learn!

I love my son taking lessons from Ms. Denise because she creates a learning environment that makes playing the piano fun and not stressful. She encourages Collin to do his best and gets him out of his comfort zone. He has never liked being in front of people but because of Ms. Denise's belief in his ability he has played in recitals not only for family but in front of the community. I recommend Ms. Denise to anyone wanting to learn the piano.

I am Denise's oldest student and have tried other piano teachers over the years.
