Music Teacher LA founder, Olesya MacNeil, graduated with Masters's Degrees in Music, Psychology, and Pedagogy from the prestigious university in the former USSR and has been providing quality private music lessons for ages 4-up since 1991. Established in 1991, Music Teacher LA quickly became Los Angeles' top music school, living up to its business slogan: "Only the Best of the Best!" From day one, only the best music teachers have been invited to join the team. Additionally, only the best lesson plans have been designed for individual students during teacher training and collaborations.
Your gift certificate can be used on any instrument-piano, voice, violin, guitar, and even more depending on your location-we are sure those you love will enjoy whichever instrument you pick! Olesya worked 7 days a week, providing at one point a total of 53 in-home private lessons each week. She was a highly sought after voice and piano teacher in Los Angeles and taught the children of Larry King, Billy Baldwin, Dan Beckerman (the LA Kings governor), Susannah Grant (the Oscar-winning screenwriter), Bennett Schneir (the animated film producer), and many other professionals.
Astounded by demand for someone of her talent and teaching skills, Olesya assembled music teachers with her caliber of credentials and expertise under one roof and named it Music Teacher LA. Music Teacher LA is awesome! I have been taking violin lessons with Joe for several months. He is a great teacher, and I've learned a lot from him. I had no experience before I took the lessons. So don't worry if you know nothing about instruments and music theory like me. They will take good care of you. Joe not only teaches me how to play but also encourages me and guides me to enjoy playing and music.
The most important thing is to GET STARTED! It's never too late to start learning something new. I appreciate the lessons and help from Joe and the support from Music Teacher LA. Thanks!

Highly recommend Music Teacher LA! Oleysa the founder is wonderful, truly passionate about spreading her love of music and really attracts the best, highest quality teachers in Los Angeles. We love Mitchell who has worked with our 4 year old son on both the piano and violin and taught him how to read and play his favorite music songs. So patient and encouraging and engaging! We have been taking guitar lessons with Mitchell for 6 months or so and I have to say he is just wonderful! He is so patient with my daughter (9 years old) and inspiring and makes learning guitar so much fun. In my mind Mitchell is a musical genius! He can take any hit song you mention and teach it to your child on guitar. Highly recommend!!!

When we first contacted Music Teacher L.A. three years ago, Olesya said she represented only 'the best of the best.' This was quickly proven true. We were delighted with the violin teacher she sent us. Haruka is not only an accomplished musician but a superb teacher as well - great with young people. My 6-year-old began piano lessons with Justin about 2 months ago and it's been going very well. We're almost completely through the first series of books and are still practicing every day. Our instructor is local, very knowledgeable, totally approachable and flexible with our ever-changing pace. I definitely recommend MTLA.

I am an adult piano learner with little prior music training and a busy life schedule. Mitchell is great in cultivating my interest and persistence in practicing while keeping the right pace. The staff at music teacher LA is also responsive and helpful. The price is reasonable too. Strongly recommend.

My 5 year old son Benjamin has been taking lessons with Music Teacher LA for about 5 months now - and he's gone from a reluctant participant to an excited learner. Our teacher, Gabrielle, has been patient, sweet, and has struck a good balance between teaching music and having fun. They break down the components of reading sheet music and playing the piano in an extremely child-friendly way. Olesya checked in multiple times in the early going to make sure we were satisfied, which meant a lot to us - and they've been very flexible with postponing the occasional class due to conflicts or vacations. Benjamin now asks to practice, and looks forward to his weekly lessons - can't ask for more than that.

My daughter loves her piano teacher and is very much enjoying her lessons. She looks forward to showing her teacher every week how much she has improved from her practicing, and her teacher is so encouraging and patient. Having the lessons in our home is also very convenient. Olyesia is also very flexible and helpful with the scheduling, on those occasions when we have to skip a lesson - as I have to travel frequently for work.

I had been looking to get back into vocals and I contacted Music Teacher LA to help me find a teacher. They were quick and efficient in finding a teacher that worked with me and my schedule and style. Carol has been a godsend. She's patient, explains things multiple times in multiple ways until I get it, and also has an awesome voice. She's willing to teach me any song I'm interested in and she has introduced me to plenty of new material.

We completed our 1st official lesson, and I feel very excited about our new instructor Luisa for violin/piano. My daughter is 4 and the teacher was able to keep her engaged and connected for the entire 1 hour lesson. We had tried a few instructors who were great at music but not warm enough to have a good connection with our young child. The price is very competitive and the convenience of in home lessons is great. Thank you Music Teacher LA, look forward to my daughter growing with you guys for many moons to come.

Just bought a very old Baldwin upright and didn't know if even the best piano tuner could get her sounding like new. Well, I did find the best piano tuner and within two hours of her diligent work, it sounded like it just came off the showroom floor! I highly recommend Yoshi from Music Teacher LA! In addition to being a miracle worker, she is simply a lovely and charming woman.

We have been with Music Teacher LA for a couple of year now and love the teachers! Olesya, the owner, if fabulous too! No matter what time or day you call, she will pick up or call you back very soon. As to the teachers, my daughter is picky but we've found several that she loves! She takes piano and she's done voice coaching as well.

We are so happy to have found Gabrielle with Music Teacher LA! My daughters both take lessons from her. My 13-year-old takes piano lessons and my 11-year-old takes violin lessons. She comes right to our house and does the lessons back-to-back, which is so convenient and easy for me.
Gabrielle is warm, patient, and has a great sense of humor. She has them choose some of the pieces they play and this has greatly encouraged them to explore on their own to develop their sense of what music they enjoy playing.
I hear them testing out tunes in their free time. Neither girl has taken lessons before and it is so nice that their first experience with music lessons is positive and fun. The girls are practicing daily without any prompting from me, and they look forward to their weekly lessons. They are also very much looking forward to their first-ever recital. We love Gabrielle!
