Services
Music Academy of Eastern Carolina, a non-profit 501(c)3 arts organization located in the Uptown Greenville, has provided outstanding and innovative music instruction for students of all ages since 1997. We are excited to join the Uptown Community, located across from the Greenville Museum of Art, and look forward to continuing our mission of providing quality music programs for people of all ages and abilities. We believe an education in the arts is one of the most important and essential experiences a child, youth or adult can enjoy.
Established in 1997 as a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), community music school offering music instruction and music therapy services for people of all ages and abilities. In the spring of 1997, MAEC was awarded a New Arts Schools and Centers startup program grant with the National Guild for Community Arts Education (formerly the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts): including intensive training in nonprofit arts management, seed funding, and a multi-year partnership with a successful community music school in Trappe, PA.

My son has been taking piano lessons here for several years. He has maintained a love for music and continues to work hard at developing his skill. The Music Academy instructors are better than you will find anywhere else. They are very encouraging and know what they are doing. My son will always have an appreciation for music due to this excellent program.

So I spend most of my day planning on meeting someone here to check my daughter's Bassoon just for the place to be locked up tight and no one around. I live 40 minutes away so we did a little shopping then came here and waited 20 minutes for no one to show. All after repeated phone calls trying to see if anyone could help us. Now my daughter is upset and I'm angry. If they weren't going to show up, someone should have called to let me know.
