Maxfield Music, founded in 2015 by Kristen Maxfield, is an integrative music school in Fairport, NY, located just outside the city of Rochester and is adjacent to the Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York.She's worked with a number of professional musicians in the entertainment industry to include Scott Sharrard & Jay Collins (Greg Allman Band); Ian Hendrickson-Smith (Amy Winehouse, Al Green, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings); Dan Stein (produced Bonnie Raitt); Charles Martinez (Produced/Engineered Kristen Chenoweth, Donald Fagen and Steely Dan); Ron Thompson (studio and live musician for various artists); Thomas Gooding (various artists).
In addition, Kristen has 15 years of audition preparation experience and five years of teaching private one-on- one vocal lessons.
Kristen has released three albums throughout her career and is currently working on her fourth studio album.

Piano lessons are offered on a digital piano designed to sound and feel as much like an acoustic piano as possible. Keys are weighted to provide the right resistance to touch, and are sensitive to speed and pressure to give a range of dynamics (loud and soft) . If you do not know how to read music, it would be beneficial to take a theory lesson (s) to learn as you are taking vocal, songwriting or piano lessons. This class will help you read music, understand music symbols and read, play and count rhythms accurately. This class will also benefit intermediate musicians of any kind who want to learn more about theory.

Kristen Maxfield is a seasoned vocal and piano instructor with a Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Vocal Performance. She is well-versed in many musical genres including, but not limited to: R&B, Jazz, Blues, Country, Pop, Classical and Musical Theater. In the music industry for nearly 15 years, she's worked as a backup vocalist for national tours, a studio musician, a choir professional, as well as a singer/songwriter for her own bands based in New York City, Philadelphia and Rochester, NY.
