With over 30 years of combined teaching experience,Dr. Dawn Dalangin Hawk and Dr. S. Eric Hawk offer private lessons in piano, violin, viola, and composition to ages five through adult at their home studio in Cumming, Georgia.

Whether a student is a beginner wanting lessons to play pop music or an advanced student preparing for a college audition, the Hawks welcome all levels. Students have numerous performing opportunities in small informal settings, recitals, festivals, and competitions.

Report
Private instruction for piano, violin, viola and music composition are available in 30, 45, and 60 minute sessions. Beginner students are recommended to start with 30 minute weekly lessons, with 45 and 60 minute lessons for intermediate through advanced students. Students receive instruction based on their specific needs, whether it is learning music for pleasure or preparing for competitions and auditions. We understand that each student is unique and tailor the lessons and goals for each individual. Students are exposed to a wide variety of musical styles to include classical, pop, jazz, and more. Students learn how to play their instrument, while also receiving instruction in sight-reading, ear training, and music theory.

Dr. Dawn Hawk is an excellent teacher as well as a talented pianist. I have been her student for four years, and I feel that she has adapted to my needs which helped me progress tremendously. She is very motivating, and practice never gets boring thanks to her tips. Dr. Hawk goes far beyond what is expected of a music teacher in her dedication to her students.
