Guitar Lessons
Report
Our one-on-one guitar lessons take students through popular and modern techniques to teaching tab, chords and harmony, songwriting and composition as well as music production. Teachers use modern songs and creative techniques to help a young beginner or any struggling learner. Teachers will adjust a modern arrangement and accompany their students so that they will be inspired and and interested.
Drum
Report
Drum lessons teach students the know-how of what it takes to be an accomplished drummer. Drum lessons target rhythm as the foundation of any good band. We also work on coordination and technique so that our students can advance through many rudiments and polyrhythms.
It is our goal to have every drummer try our band program and learn other styles of music while performing. These opportunities are exciting for our students, and help them see the benefit to practicing as well as connecting with other musicians.

Piano
Report
The piano is a great jump off point for the study of all other instruments. Here we teach students to learn to read notes in the Treble and Bass Clefs while also learning improvisation and songwriting. The piano is physically easy to play right out the gate, making it much quicker than any other instrument to create sound. This is great for those who need immediate satisfaction and reinforces desire to play more often. The piano or keyboard is also great for understanding how music works, visually the piano gives everyone patterns that help students see music in a linear way. Meaning kids and adults will see relationships and patterns much easier than any other instrument which is why college music students must have 2 years of piano under their belt before graduation. The most important part of piano is the use of both hands, which develops the left-right brain communication.
Voice
Report
Voice lessons allow students to choose their own songs and our instructors will guide them based on their unique gifts and talents. We strongly encourage students to branch out to different styles of music including, rock, pop and classical, all while learning fundamentals of technique. We find it important that during voice lessons students should learn to breathe correctly, create a clear tone, project and understand melody and phrasing.
Violin
Report
We offer Violin lessons for students ages 3 years to adult. Though we specialize in teaching beginner violin lessons our instructors move students through intermediate and advanced levels quickly. We offer both traditional Fiddle and Suzuki style instruction. Whether you want to play “Devil went down to Georgia” or a Bach Sonata, we will help you reach your goals.

We signed our son up for piano lessons at Creative Soul in Southlake about 6 months ago. Today, he had his first recital and this is what he has to say:
I've had a great experience playing my first song on stage in Fort Worth. The teachers are amazing. Isaiah is my teacher and he is really nice and fun. He helped me a lot with my song. The Soul family is also really nice.

What an amazing place to learn! We've been so fortunate to find Creative Soul and take weekly piano as well as summer camp. The school is so responsive, easy to work with and knowledgeable! Our performer has blossomed and learn so much so quickly. She looks forward to lessons, camp and recitals. The twice a year recitals are so great. They're 1 hour long and so efficient. Definitely check them out.

Creative Soul Music School has been a very rewarding experience for my child. The recent recital was very enjoyable and all the performers did so well. One thing about the school is its staff and teachers. Mr Micah is able to engage his students in such a way that he brings out their personalities and talent. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to give their children a unique and rewarding experience while having fun learning.

My daughter has been attending here since she was 3 years old, and this has been an amazing experience for her, after 2 years she has now moved up to piano lessons, i have seen how she has been progressing, and the recitals every year help her to not be shy. Overall I am very grateful with the school and I look forward to seeing my daughter learning to play piano, and being able to play a whole song during a recital, with the amazing teachers she has, i know that is how it will be!

1ST MESSAGE I started my Grandson on piano lessons in January. At the end of the first lesson before I even left the building the instructor that I wanted to do the lessons informed me that she was NOT going to be able to lessons because she was doing a finishing up her degree and was NOT going to be available. That is great but I should have been informed and I should have been able to decide before starting the lessons.
They did offered me another DAY for the lessons but, I declined because I was NOT available due to working. I spoke to the person in the office after the lesson and they tried to get me rescheduled and called on a number of occasions informing them that the day they are offering would NOT work for my schedule. I asked for the office manager to give me a call, and that never happened.
Then when they sent in the information to the bank they stated that the reason for her not being there was because the instructor was sick (that is a LIE). She was NOT sick she was NOT able because of school. Now I am STUCK with a $112.00 bill for services that were NOT received. My question is WHY am I stuck with a bill because YOU could NOT how up your end of the contract. I will continue to post this message until I get a return for SERVICE THAT YOU DID NOT GIVE. We love it here! Their focus is fully on the students. It is hard to find activities that are not all about the money these days but this school is great. The staff is kind and flexible. If you take advantage of the "makeup days" you could get a total of 2.5 hours of practice a week. And these days are at no additional cost to you! So glad we found them. They were a little persistent when I sent my initial inquiry but honestly- with how busy I am- I needed the constant reminder.

Fortunate to be part of Creative Soul music. They do give the opportunity of recital twice a year. My 8-year-old son so far did 5 times in 2 and half years which made a big difference in his confidence, stage fear, etc. Thanks to the kind owner Mr. Casey Thomas. My son evolved so much with the help of instructors and the Right Platform to grow. My boy's favorite part is the makeup class.which is offered twice a week for free.where he gets to work with other students and play music games.
The faculty is great at Watauga. To name some Mr. Alan ( great private teacher for Piano), Mr. Donicio( teaches music games), Mr. Aiden ( taught ear training). They have wonderful front office ladies like Nicole, Stephanie who have always been so helpful. Don't think $135 for 4 half an hour lessons in a month is too much, they do justice for what we are paying.
They are also offering free songwriting, vocal lessons, etc through zoom which are once a week. My son enjoyed so much learning from Ms. Erica', who offered a free specialty class on Tuesdays. Thanks a lot, Ms. Erica. We live half an hour away from the Watauga location but it's worth the commute. My 8-year-old son can play any song by ear now and I am a happy mother who doesn't know music at all. All credit goes to Creative Soul music. I greatly recommend Creative Soul Music.

Creative Soul is a wonderful place to learn music for kids and adults! The owners and staff are passionate about what they do. My daughter's teacher Allen is so cool, talented, passionate and patient and I can tell all of his students have a great rapport with him. They teach what you want to learn which I think really keeps people engaged. At first I was nervous about the quick push to perform in recitals, but I think it pushes her to focus on the craft and is good for her confidence and self esteem. My daughter is learning piano and I am amazed how quickly she is learning, I plan to pick up a lesson soon if time allows.

I have two children at the School and they love their teachers and enjoy their lessons. They both have well trained and musically educated tutors with years of experience as professional musicians. Some of the reviews complain about scheduling issues, we all call out from work when we have emergency situations and at times it is last minute, nature of emergencies.
I have no problem with communication as I have had very responsive experiences when I have to get in touch with school personnel. The option for email, text or phone call. The performance at the the theater is fun and exciting for us and the kids.

The music school requested an additional annual fee be paid prior to a year from the first fee (in June 2021). They did not mention the second "annual" fee when I registered. My son is not able to take lessons because all of our classes were cancelled immediately after calling Creative Soul Music School to give them the 30 day notice before the lessons were actually supposed to be cancelled.
They only gave me options to either pay the unfair additional annual fee and continue taking classes or pay for a full month's classes without being able to take the lessons in that time (that would still have to be paid for). I do not believe it is fair that Creative Soul should be able to charge for a month of classes after the cancellation notice but block us from taking the classes in that month.

I'm an adult taking guitar lessons at the Fort Worth facility and I absolutely enjoy myself! My teacher is patient and attentive while ensuring I fully grasp the lesson before moving on to the next. The receptionist Allison is amazing! She has to be one of the nicest people I've met. Also, due to my work schedule, I sometimes have to reschedule. The options given and the way they work around your schedule is another reason I enjoy Creative Soul. Great program to the owner Casey!

We cannot say enough about Creative Soul Music School. Our kids enjoyed every aspect and learned a great deal, which was displayed at a beautiful recital event. The school is professional in communication, helping us with seasonal changes for lesson times. Angel is an amazing instructor! It was wonderful to see our kids excited to go to their lesson AND come home talking about it!

I cannot say enough about this facility about being so awesome. My son has been going to Ms Erica since he was 3 and now he 4 year old and he plays such good piano. She has so much patience with little kids. Casey, the owner is so courteous and considering. I met him first time at the recitals and he made sure all the musicians are comfortable rather than being perfect, so that really helped out my son since he was very nervous to perform. This place hands down is awesome!

My son is having a wonderful music classes. He is enjoying the environment, encouragement given by his teacher. He loves to participate in Recitals and feels proud of himself. The milestone awards are really appreciable and highly encouraging for him. I have a small suggestion, can kids get some kind of participation certificate or some thing else after their recital on stage. The video and photos taken by us during the recital only stays but nothing beyond that.

My son and I started taking a mommy and me music class at Creative Soul when he was about 6 months old. He LOVED it! There are fun, interactive songs and toys and instruments that the kids are encouraged to play with. The teachers are well trained and very interactive with the kids. Definitely one of my son's favorite activities!

Such a great school in a fabulous location!! Kid central for sure! It's such a fun, happy place for kids and adults. Great decor that encourages creativity and exploration!! Maybe if I had a fun place like this to go for piano lessons as a child I would have stuck with it!?! My little boy loves the mommy and me class where he is encouraged to explore rhythm, movement, singing playing with instruments and interaction with the teacher and others. The teachers are engaging and passionate about music and kids and they truly make the learning process fun!!

Southlake's Creative Soul of Music is a fantastic place for kids of all ages to learn more about their passion. My daughter always looks forward to her lessons every week. Wether it's singing a challenging song, or learning a new chords on the piano, there is always something my daughter looks forward to! Creative Soul of Music is a laid back and fun atmosphere with an eclectic vibe... not what you see at most music schools.
