My son is taking drum lessons at New City School of Music and absolutely loves it! He enjoys his sessions and his teacher is great! From the parent perspective, I find the school director and his staff to be easy to work with and very nice. I had called a couple of other schools and found that this school was organized and communicated their fee structure, scheduling and program very clearly. The fees seem very competitive and the instruction has been great. I would recommend them to anyone, kids or adults!

I wish there was more communication with me from the school/teachers. I also don't love how the trophies seem to be earned based on nothing but time. No actual musical accomplishments. I don't really like the "everyone gets a trophy so it's all equal" approach. I believe it should be based on skill level.

At interview I felt an authentic interest in my issues and the reason for my decision to take classes. The vocal training I am receiving has proved invaluable. My instructor is particularly empathetic to my challenges and I have gained assurance and improved technique from his professional knowledge. The administrators are as courteous and helpful as my instructor and I especially appreciate how accommodating they are in scheduling make up sessions for missed classes.

My son just started playing the clarinet this year and he is a real beginner. He started taking lesson in August and is really enjoying it. His teacher has given him some great tips to help him better his scale and placement of his fingers. Also, excellent communication from everyone in this establishment. The are kind, encouraging and professional!

New City School of music is amazing. My youngest son started violin lessons with Ruby in January. Her knowledge and dedication (as well as patience) with him has helped him get off to a fine start. He loves coming each week. Then there's Anita. She's the first person you meet. Her enthusiasm and obvious love for the students is contagious. She's always ready with a smile and a positive greeting for each and every person that walks through the door. I can not recommend them enough.

Once we found the right piano instructor for our daughter's personality and learning style, everything fell into place. She enjoys practicing (mostly) and is always excited to learn. Friendly staff and very helpful finding the right fit. We are impressed with her progress and happy she looks forward to it.

I am really enjoying my voice lessons and have learned so much in such a short period of time! The staff and instructors are exceptional and will continue to recommend the New City School of Music to others! The school looks AMAZING! Love the addition of so many new student pictures on the wall. The new school logo looks awesome and looks great with the comfortable chairs in the lobby!
