We are the only school in the area that offers Piano, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Violin, Cello, Voice, Saxophone, Ukulele, Trumpet, Accordion, Banjo, Mandolin, Ukulele and more in ONE location! We welcome students of all experience and abilities from 5 years old up to adults, so there is something for the whole family.
Kingwood Music School is a year-round school, and you can start lessons at any time during the year with no long-term commitment. You can choose 30, 45, or 60 minute lessons. High quality music instruction is best achieved through weekly private lessons. Unlike the distractions of a group program, our teachers focus on you 100% and work with you one-on-one to help you excel and perfect your skills. You get the teacher's full attention and an individually tailored lesson, and you progress at the pace that's best for you!
Our piano teachers teach a variety of styles from classical to popular music. Whether you want to learn a classical sonatina, rock chords, or popular sheet music, our teachers are excited to help you become the pianist you want to be. They will show you the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory, and can also incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons. Our piano teachers all have years of experience teaching beginners to advanced students, and enjoy sharing their love for the piano with you!
Our string teachers have a track record of success of teaching very young beginners as well as older students, and in preparing students to excel in middle and high school orchestras. Violin students can be as young as 5 years old, or younger with the teacher's approval. 6 or 7 is a great age to begin viola or cello, because of the larger instrument size.
Our guitar teachers teach rock, blues, metal, jazz, country and classical guitar lessons on electric and acoustic guitars. They play in bands, in churches, and everywhere in between, so they're able to teach any style you're interested in! Our teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals.

Overall a great experience now that we switched instructors. Our new instructor is very good and always reliable. I have a 4 star rating because the initial experience was not great. Our instructor was often out, either sick or on break, etc. consistency is important to our son, especially with something new. We switched instructors as his substitute spent more time with him than his usual instructor. All good now.

Kingwood is so lucky to have this music school! I have three kids that have learned various instruments here, and all the teachers really CARE about them. I can hear them laughing and having fun at the lessons. I also like that they have recitals so the kids can get up on stage and play for a live audience. It's convenient to drop my kids off and have them all take all their lessons at the same time. I would recommend this place to everyone who's ever wanted to try learning music.

All folks working at the front desk have been wonderful, personable, very professional, and excellent customer service. lesson instructors work best if you are able to match teacher personality with what works best for students. i have one in elementary school and one in middle school and they enjoy their lessons most when the instructors find ways to keep lessons fun, lively, but still educational.

I have taken guitar from Mr. Keith for over a year. He has a ton of patience and gives enough variety in each lesson that it makes it enjoyable. Keith and the staff has been great about working around my travel schedule which has been a chore in and of itself. Because there are so many teachers (dozens?), I can highly recommend the school to anyone with no musical background, like me, or to someone of the most advanced skills. It's well worth your time.
