PERFECT FRET JOB! Actually it was a Full Neck Restoration when Doc was finished with it. And not 1 penny extra for all the extra work that Doc put into my guitar! The frets were worn down so bad they almost didn't stick out above the board anymore, and the rosewood fretboard was dried out and lifeless! I just can't say enough about the amazing work that Doc did to bring this guitar back to life Thank you Doc & Amy!

Took my guitar in to fix what I could not, and boy did they do a good job. My guitar is singin' like new again and I couldn't be happier! Tell your grandmas brothers uncle and anyone else you know to get your guitar worked on here, you will not regret it.

I Bring all my guitars here! Had my PRS and Ibanez both recalibrated and it's amazing how you can feel the difference afterwards. Never had this done before but after feeling the difference I am definitely going to keep coming back whenever I need them serviced again.

I can't rate the doc highly enough, he's the real deal. Forget pretentious guitar techs - they give me the fear - Doc made me feel like an old regular from the moment I walked in. He took my Epiphone es-339 from a cheap, out-of-the-box factory setup to a warm, smooth sound and feel of much higher end guitar. He gave me some great advice too. Such a worthy investment. If you're thinking about it, bring your guitar to this man already, you won't regret it. Shout out to Amy for getting me in too! Oh and don't call, just swing by.

Doc really knows what he's doing! I took my ukulele in because it had a really high action and heat damage, he took the time to really dial just right for me. I couldn't believe how amazing it sounded when I went to the recording studio. Thank you Doc and Amy!

Doc is really nice guy. Even though it was a far-cry that he would have the guitar parts that I needed. He took his time and looked for the parts and gave me a different options on how to fix it. Great customer service!

Had a hard time getting ahold of these people. THEN the girl that answered the phone was super rude. Hung up the phone before I could get answers. I called back and she seemed to not have time for my questions and handed the phone to her mom. Lol. I will find somewhere else to take my business!

In a moment of sheer carelessness and stupidity that still makes me feel sick to my stomach, I knocked my prized Les Paul over and broke the headstock. It was a pretty bad break, it snapped almost all the way through, with jagged edges. I took it in to the Doctor. He told me it would be a wait, so I was warned.and it was! But Doc is a busy guy, and now I see why.

I just got it back. Not only can I not even tell it was ever broken based on appearance, it looks and sounds better than it ever has. It's actually never sounded and felt this good to play (I've had it for about 20 years). I don't know what he did, but I would say he is more of a wizard than a doctor. Thanks Doc! You're a lifesaver!

I took my most prized guitar to Doc as a last ditch effort to get it to play decently. It had been in lesser qualified hands in the past and I honestly thought it was past saving. What I got in return was a professional grade road worthy instrument that is beyond amazing. This man gave me an instrument that is professional grade and is beyond anything I could have hoped for.

Quit trying to take the cheap way out and get your instrument in the hands of this incredibly talented man. He and his wife are awesome people and I am beyond thankful for them.

Took my Gibson in to get it set up because there were a few notes I couldn't play and some buzzing. When I got it back it sounded much, much worse than when I gave to them and there was still buzzing. So I changed the strings out to see if that would help and it did help quite a bit but still sounded worse than usual. There's also a burn mark on the peg that wasn't there before.

I was surprised and thought I must be doing something wrong since he has such good ratings and is quite cocky about his knowledge, but after going through a few different string types, my guitar will never sound as good as it did before. I would have thought for 150 dollars, he would have put some decent strings on it but even with different strings, the quality will never be the same.

I have been going to Doc for about 25 years or so. All my Les Paul's, Jackson's, BC Rich's, Flying V's, Strats and acoustics go to him. He's done complete set-ups, intonation adjustments, Floyd Rose adjustments, installed pick-ups, blocked floating trems, re-wired guitars that include coil splitting & out-of-phasing. He's also a cool dude that is very passionate about guitars and music, you can just tell. He's also advised me modifications and which ones NOT to do. All around professional. Highly recommended.

This is hands down the most professional, knowledgeable, and helpful shop I've ever been to! The quality and care they have for customers is insane! I came for in a quote and left with more knowledge than I could live asked for. Do yourself a favor and check these guys out for any repairs or setups! They do lessons as well, I will be back for that when this virus nonsense ends! They are offering curbside 05/2020.

Doc did some amazing work on my P bass. He swapped the pick ups and did a full set up in C standard for me. I've never had a bass play this way, and im truly amazed every time I pick it up. Everything was done with so much integrity, he explained every little thing he did, and everyone there was excited to help. You will definitely not regret getting any work done here, the quality is unmatched. Thanks so much Doc!

My guitar was in Guitar Tech hell at Sam Ash on Beach, I ended up with a super high action and major fret buzz and the tech kept it for 2.5 weeks over 2 different set ups, so I was frustrated with Sam Ash. I brought it over to the Guitar Doctor here in Fountain Valley and it's playing beautifully, no fret buzz, great action set up. I would've saved so much time had I brought it here first instead of taking a promotional deal at Sam Ash. The doc finds your guitar's sweet spot, I would highly recommend!

The Doc is a genius! He is a knowledgeable craftsman. He has made my basses play and sound great. He set up my Taylor and it sounds and plays amazing. I brought in a vintage P bass that he rewired after someone else did it wrong. It sounds so good! Thanks Doc!

There is a taped sign on the front door to deter you from entering, not too hard to find someone else that wants the business.

Doc had put in a couple Switchcraft jack's for me a while back while I screwed around in GC for 30 minutes. Good price, no lame jack issues on two guitars, nice! That was a walk in and luckily he wasn't too busy. This time I had him do a stage ready setup on a brand new $200 Jackson 7 string. It plays remarkably well now for such an inexpensive guitar.

The setup was somewhat cheaper than the guitar.; But for a new 7 player like me I wanted it done right the first time. Doc does not disappoint his patients, but a case like this submitted right before the new year took a couple weeks as I expected.

Doc is amazing! Like a "guitar whisperer". He set up my guitar and it plays so much more easily and sounds terrific. You can quickly tell that he's a professional as well as being a genuinely nice guy who spends as much time as needed to ensure you are happy with his service.

Doc is the best guitar tech I've seen hands down! His passion for it shows in the work he does. Also one of the most genuine and nicest people you will meet. After doing the full setup, my guitar plays and feels better than it ever has. I did have a little issue a week after the setup but, when I brought it back in, doc was able to take care of it right there on the spot. I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience!

My daughter knows nothing about her guitar. I know half as much. When her knockoff Stratacaster blew a string, we needed a lesson as to how to restring it. We went to Guitar Center and their repair area was closed for lunch. We walked next door to the Guitar Doctor and we were blown away. The Doctor was in and was helping out some real musicians. We were happy to hang for a minute while they were all testing a guitar out.

Me and the girl loved standing there listening to people who clearly knew how to play. We were quickly referred to Tommy who could not have been nicer to us. He was really patient and took joy in teaching us how to restring it instead of just doing it himself. He made sure we could do it, then took us in back as he tuned it. He even gave us a plastic tool that assists in tightening the strings.

He also suggested lessons for my girl in one of their studios. I was quoted $25 for the restringing and tuning. Tommy also did a good job of cleaning it up for us. I gladly paid and tossed in a nice tip. We love supporting small independent stores instead of bowing all the time to the big box stores.
