This model adopts a unique "reverse-style" design with staggered main pipe valve slides, creating a smooth response. A heavy mouthpiece receiver and daring removal of the third valve water key results in a superb balance of playability and tonal quality. With this model, musicians will be able to produce a firm sound in all dynamic ranges, from delicate pianissimo to powerful fortissimo. The YTR-8335RS achieves smooth resistance and airflow that only a reverse tuning slide design can offer, for easy, comfortable playability and harmonically rich tone.

Our story begins in the early 1910s with Clara Tarpley. Clara was a piano teacher in Wellington, TX that wanted a way to further share her passion for music with her local communities in the Texas Panhandle. She began selling pianos out of a hardware store in Shamrock, TX and made her very first piano sale in 1917.

Pretty good and knowledgeable staff, and the store is nice. Unlike pretty much any other serious music store though they won't wiggle on prices or make a deal, even if it's just a relatively standard thing like getting out the door for the sticker price. All in all everyone I've dealt with there is pretty helpful but they're not a very consumer-friendly place, wanting to charge standard MSRP even on floor model guitars.
Better off checking Guitar Center first in most cases. Brad may make the claim they offer pre-discounted prices but the guitar in question is listed at the same $699 on the manufacturer website as on Tarpley's wall. A five minute phone call to another store in town had me out the door on the same model instrument at $681. I'm not really a big haggler trying to get a steal on things, I just believe that if "open box" is a condition things get listed at a reduced price for there's no reason not to ask for a very slight discount on a guitar hanging on the sales floor. It'd be irresponsible of me to leave a review that doesn't point out that other stores in town will give buyers a better deal than Tarpley's. The employees at Tarpley's are all fantastic, I've never dealt with a bad one. As with most places, the policies of management are where you run into issues.

My mom went and got my daughter a flute because she needed a new one and I had to work. First they wouldn't let me make a payment over the phone. They wouldn't let me give verbal consent to setup the monthly recurring payment under my bank because I wasn't there to sign. My mother was told I could go in and change to my bank account at a later time now there saying I can't.
The following month I called earlier then the due date to make a payment with my debit card and they took my payment. But then on the actual due date took another payment out. Then on my contract it says it's due on a certain date and on there end it says something completely different. Now I'm being told I can't change it to my bank account without going through corporate.
It's just been one thing after another. I will never purchase anything from them again. I am not happy with the service provided or that one employee told us we could do one thing and another is saying something totally different. Will never recommend or refer anyone to do business with them.
