Webster has NO RIGHT to keep deleteing this or any HONEST Review. This is my personal experience that is very real and accurate. Webster and their lawyers have harrassed many alumnae and classmates and the websites they have left critical reviews about Webster on. For me Webster and its business school were simply a complete waste of valuable time and money.

Over 1/3rd of my courses had to be replaced(Webster does not refund) due to shocking low academic standards that were unethical in my opinion. The low ebb? An Accounting instructor asking the class "Do you want numbers?" to which most of the class that was left said "NO!". I and many others simply walked out and demanded refunds. Out of 12 courses only 3 had PH.D instructors of which none were published.

The amount of course content recycling was atrocious which I would estimate at 30% minimum (so you really get at most about 8 courses not 12). The lowest ebb? There was not a single spreadsheet or detailed business analytics applied software program in any of the courses, never mind running across them and integrating business skillsets. So, forget any type of applied business modelling which is a given in any other MBA for the last 2 decades.

Which cannot be believed in today's market. My 6000 Capstone project (the culmination of the Webster Masters) was simply an academic joke. I have since had it looked at by AACSB university business school and a global MBA expert and the consensus is the same: Webster's MBA is NOT even close to a master's degree level in business in terms of theory, applied skillsets or business analytics.

At best, it is part high school business and maybe part 1st year community college (without the depth). My classmates have had the exact same thing told to them. Webster's reply? They dont reply? They hide. from Academic affairs to the deans. You simply can't get hold of them as they refuse discussion. I was finally told in a phone call by someone from the Business School's Dean's office, "Webster University is a business and there are no laws concerning the quality, standards or content of a Masters degree in business.

You can try and sue us, but you wont win as we have broken no laws." In other words, Webster was not denying that their degrees are not masters level quality, they were justifying their shockingly poor academics by saying "it does not break any laws!" The absolute lowest ebb? Webster lies. Before enrolling, I was told in person and in writing that Webster has long (40 years), established links to corporate America with internships, company recruiting, over 200,000 active alumnae, and a top 20 ranking in the Midwest.

All completely false. At the Webster Career Center, I found out that there was not a single company contact, nor has there ever been corporate recruitment for Webster Business grads! Nor was there a single Alumnae contact to be given out of an officially claimed 200,000! And claiming a "top 16 Mid-West Business School rank?" This is fraud! The truth is that the Webster MBA has never been ranked as a general MBA out of thousands of business schools for over 40 years of being the biggest maker in the country!

At best, Webster's non-MBA management degree has ranked at #174 out of 193 schools which is the bottom 5%! A totally abysmal ranking and completely useless for any career value! After graduation, it got even worse. With over $35,000 in student loans invested in Webster's junk degree and false promises I (and most of my fellow Webster students) found out quickly that a Webster masters in business of any type cannot be given away in corporate America and that its brand value is zero!

After 2 years and over 500 CV's sent out to corporate MBA training programs across North America and the UK, I did not even get a single interview. Every application was rejected. I paid for professional recruiter help, CV writing, career coaches and always the same opinions (they all believed any Webster business degree was worthless in the job market) and the same results.

The most common response from companies (especially from Webster's home base St. Louis that knows the school all too well) was "we do not hire from THAT school!" Hence, my over $50,000 in tuition and expenses (and over $100,000 in lost income) for my Webster Masters in Business has given me a degree that is absolutely WORTHLESS and laughed at in the corporate world!

My sincere advise is don't believe a single world Webster University tells you about its business degrees or school, and don't give them a single dime of your hard earned money for a degree and reputation that are worth nothing. Research everything Webster tells you with regards to its George Herbert Walker business school's placement, reputation, and ranking independently (I would hire a law firm to do this so you get an very accurate snapshot of the real value before you spend $50 to 100K). And get every promise/claim Webster University makes IN WRITING

This Easter weekend is the first "student voice" plays in 15 years and I saw the first night. The plays are a collaborative skit from student performers and the student screenwriters. The dynamic gave the performers the ability to showcase their talents (dance, singing and instrumental) without losing the meaning the stories were telling. The plays were adult, contemporary, and emotionally moving.

After the skits was a brief performer and director introduction plus a question and answer period. My only question is "why was this in the basement theater". the small audience was nice to be part of, but a larger audience would be nice also. If you want something adult but college youthful to experience this is an excellent event to enjoy.

At first I attended this university to continue on my family's legacy, but fell in love this institute and the Webster Groves community. It's not a cheap school to attend but there's plenty of resources and scholarship sites available along with financial aid to help you attend. Not only did I graduate from here with my undergrad and only $20k in student loans but I'm also on a full-ride for my MBA program (through my employer and thanks to Webster I landed this job). Webster, you've been nothing but a blessing to me. from life lesson taught in class rooms and life long friends located all across the globe to a very reputable degree, thank you! #GoGorloks!

Great teachers. Great classes. However have been lying to their students about having CACREP accreditation, which is required for counseling students to get their license after graduation. They lied to us for a year and then once they decided to tell us they did not have it, they basically told us that we would have to wait another year and to "stay hopeful." Waste of time and money. And horrible that they were so willing to deceive their students.

I transferred from Fontbonne to Webster; HUGE regret! I feel that Fontbonne valued me more as a student but I decided to transfer because I believed a degree from Webster would open more doors. WRONG! Like many others stated in their reviews, the administrators care more about money than the success of their students. Do not expect to get personalized attention at Webster after you attend; instead, expect robotic responses from desensitized administrators.

I am a long time student (4 plus years) of Webster; brick and mortar and online. I'm very disappointed. I enrolled in online classes for the freedom of a self paced curriculum. Now they are implementing mandatory asynchronous classes to the online curriculum. Mandatory Saturday morning classes on Zoom is not why students sign up for the online experience.

I travel a lot and need the freedom to participate at my own pace. It doesn't even mention mandatory Zoom classes in the handbook for online classes. People are just going Zoom crazy since the COVID 19 pandemic. In addition I pay way more tuition for this online school and every semester I'm given a reading list and links to YouTube videos. I've only had one online teacher that taught on the videos posted throughout the modules. It's just disappointing that random teachers on YouTube are teaching our Graduate level stuff.

If YouTube fails the curriculum will fall apart. All I'm saying is that I'm paying good money. teach! Post videos and teach through out the modules. #WebsterYouTube

I want to share this with anyone who is considering attending any Webster University Extended campus across America. I attended the Columbia SC and Fort Jackson campus - became ill in 2016 and 2018. I submitted medical documentation in support of both illness as instructed. We are in 2020 and Webster University in Missouri has not adjusted my account to reflect and nor are they being helpful in this process.

My appeal was denied because it did not fit the criteria ( 5 days in the ICU clinging to life) with clots in my legs and bilateral in my lungs, numerous surgeries and other treatments. They refuse to educate me on the criteria and dismissed my concerns by stating this is the final communication we will have with you. They treat our people differently because we make up the majority of their extended campuses.

The main campus could care less about the minority population and they make it known. I refuse to let this to go without escalating my concerns. This is not ok! When you fight you win, by not fighting you will lose every time. It should not be difficult to treat someone with the upmost Dignity and Respect. We are not bad peoples because of our skin color - we deserve the best opportunities life has to offer as well.

What else can be more useless than an expensive and worthless graduate degree from Webster University. Bursar office was indifferent and unable to explain the numerous fees added right before or after courses started (there were some weekly fees for some courses). Some professors are rude and snarky, and they don't have the knowledge to teach graduate level courses. I have the diploma hanging on a wall in the bathroom, and I'll use it if I ever run out of toilet paper.

I'm proud to be a Webster University student and I have learned so much in the classroom and throughout the experiences and interactions with students from around the globe. The MS in Marketing grad program is awesome and I'm learning so much about the creative and business aspects of marketing. Very happy I chose this degree option. The campus has a good vibe, friendly people, it is like a family and good community. And the opportunity to learn from other cultures and study abroad is invaluable.

I started my graduate program in the fall last year (2019) and have chosen Webster University due to the flexibility it offers and the school's proximity to my house. As an adult with a full-time career and life, it was very difficult for me to find a University with programs built around the schedule of a self-sustaining individual. Although this school is quite pricey (currently $2340/3-credit hour class for my MS program), they have graduate programs with options of taking classes on-campus or online.

Best of all, it's an accredited school so you can be sure you're getting a proper degree and not one mailed to you from one of those diploma-mine online schools. So far, I've been taking courses online but do come to campus to utilize the services available to students such as the library or the University bookstore. Also, if they are aware that you are using a reimbursement plan with your employer, they will not expect you to pay your tuition immediately but rather, wait until you get your reimbursement check.

If you have an employee like mine, it takes a month after your grades and bills have been submitted before you get your check so you might want to pay them before that. The campus is beautiful with brick buildings and trees nestled within the Webster Groves community. It is literally about 5 minutes from my house which makes coming here not at all a big deal.

The staff and the Professors have been helpful so far. My academic advisor takes all the stress and worries about what to take next by taking it upon herself to plan my semesters before I even call to sign up for classes. She gave me great advice when I had some concerns regarding going back to school after being out for 7 years and sent me a list of all the University services they offer to help students succeed! Things have been nice since I started my program. I look forward to taking more classes and perhaps some on-campus in the near future and eventually earning my Master's from Webster!

The staff at the Webster Chapters I attended were great, the instructors, the enrollment staff and administrators are all awesome. Everyone at the Luke and Beaufort, SC Campus is beyond reproach all care about their students. They communicate well and look after their students from day one, all the way to even after graduation. Webster University Main Campus however, and those that don't own up to their accounting mistakes and allow their "Alumni" to damage their credit call for this poor rating.

My specific case of accepting poor guidance and lethargic action when the University's accounting department (along with the Department of Veterans' Affairs) made a mistake and caused me to incur negative credit charges as well as an extra $400 service fee, all because the four staffers at the Main Campus in St Louis took 4 months to figure out they were over paid.

They admitted they made the mistake, to prove their point, they overnighted me a check for the difference to "make me whole". They had no interest in paying the late fees incurred by their delayed response. All it would have taken to keep me from writing this review and more to come, would have been to simply apologize and reimburse me the $400 in fees. but your university couldn't bear to even respond to that request, much less write the check. Webster University will get bad press from me at every campus I come across the rest of my military career. It's not the 80pt Credit Score hit, or $400, but mostly the principles of being a school students should trust.

Two directors were fired during the end of my master's program and my financial aid was a complete mess. I've been trying to resolve it for two years. They responded with condescending emails, lies or just ignoring me completely. They've got some great instructors but administration is crooked and disgusting. They'll rob you blind if you let them.

If you care about a good education don't go here The teachers preach anti-Semitism in human rights @moriarty The teaching is one of the worst I've seen besides the art institutes because the teachers do not know anything about what they are teaching it's all from the book and slides and when you're asking questions that teachers just eat fast or say they do not know the answer.

They claim to have ph.ds in all these other credentials and they can't and do not use them when they teach @walsh and @kim in intro to psychology Many of the teachers have graduate students sit in on the class and research everything for the professor and it is so immature. you're paying for school and you're not getting any good teaching @kim in "Science in the news class" The high school students next door literally take over almost the whole Pool schedule. the parking is horrible The student services is a joke at the school of the president and the system president is a joke at the school Even if you want to be a teacher which most people are trying to go for it this school it's a real joke The language and communication teacher of Melissa Benton told me i have AUTISM and wrote it down on a piece of paper. @melissa benton aka "Ms. Joy" How dare a teacher tell me this. she is not my daughter and I do not even have Autism.

In human rights class they don't have any of the facts correct and then when you tell the teacher that the woman of Anna baltzer of the book you are forced to read is anti-Semitic he says "that is your opinion." The school will do anything to kick you out if you speak up and you tell the truth over there false facts at the school. The student services guy does not do anything good for any student. for me he says go to a grievance counselor when I was being attacked.

The food at the school is a complete joke A lot of the rooms in a couple of the buildings do not have air conditioning The bathrooms are outrageously gross The computer engineering major is taught just horribly. They bring in teachers that are older and the dean of computer science to teach the classes and they can't even teach they have to go off of the book every second and they don't have any patience.

I lived in a nice area in a safe area and my car was broken into with many others and I couldn't get to school on time.so I missed a test and I sent pictures and a police report to the professor and she still did not let me make up the test. Many of the students even say they're just walking through all their degrees now because the teaching is so horrible at this University as they call it. Antisemetic teachin. Yes.

They bring in anna baltzer to the school readings. Look on her facebook. She hates israel and america. She is pro palestinian and boycott of israeli goods. The school from the very first day last June could not get any of my financial aid correct. the FASFA and all the Federal Loan companies pay my loans and money went through to the school and Webster says "we gotta do what we want it's our school." 1800 students Plus in 14 Schools have left and I am one of them for good reason for better teaching and more.

I would never go here. The school kick me out for the spring session on false accusations and they want me to pay a whole bunch to the school. I will not pay. When I first wrote many things about this school they pinned me down and kick me out because of defamation of character and lies to the school. I'm telling the truth about the school and next session starts soon please rethink it This school will not let many students including myself travel abroad and go work in China well I'm I'm going to school nit when I get an email saying they want me to go to an IT seminar in China I was kicked out of being in the gym because I'm wearing pants. the school is very immature.

So many of the students don't even know what the Holocaust is and they don't even know what the israeli/"so called palestine" war is all about. they don't kick the girl out here that loves Iran and would rather be in Iran than America, but they kick me out for stepping up to the real facts about Israel in a pro-israel and facts in general.

I would not go to Washington University anyways because they have the same problems. Thank you for viewing. More is to be said about how bad this institution really is. @phil storm is a joke and so is ass pres and pres. When you tell the assistant president the problems she never tells the president what is really going on at the school she just smiles and tilt their head like she's the most beautiful woman in the world but really she doesn't have a brain.

The Writing Center is a real joke when you go in even when you get help they spend over half the time just looking at your stuff and don't even have time to help you understand what you're doing wrong. The only good classes that I have had here are one French class and one math class. the school is withholding transcripts

I attended Webster University because it is an excellent and an accredited University with national and international reputation. It is a truly global University with its campuses in almost all the Continents of the world. In fact a graduate of Webster University is considered a citizen of the world! This University has been training and will continue to train graduates for the progress of the global community.

This is saying that you must be responsible and hardworking before you can truly graduate from this prestigious citadel of learning. You can only earn your degree from Webster University and not buy it! So for quality education consider Webster University.

I can't speak for all programs, but the website development program is an absolute joke. Do not waste your money and time here - it's a scam. Incompetent teachers, some who barely speak English, and all of the classes are online, which makes for a poor learning environment. If you don't have experience with computers then you will be completely lost, and the teachers won't / can't help you.

I found myself learning more just by asking questions on StackOverflow. Also the program is about 10 years in the past - doesn't teach you about hosting, responsive design, or how to use a content management system. No real world application. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for website development - St Charles CC and Ranken have much better programs with in-person classes.

You have to be an independent adult to attend this university. Otherwise, if you think like a pampered child, then you will display serious student tantrums. This university is for mature adults and not for students who need coddling or feel entitled to everything such as the perfect weather. If the student can figure out the maze of university life and earning that degree, then the student will attain skills in solving issues and problems.

This university is not for pampered students with coddled minds. Part of the exercise is that the student should be ready to welcome everyday challenges and issues, then tackle them successfully. The senior year in any authentic university is the most challenging because the classes that you need may be full, cancelled or not available at all. This is indeed the survival of the fittest.

Expect sacrifices in the name of learning. Otherwise, go look for another college that will coddle you up to the graduation ceremony. I survived in this university. I am proud of it and I love it!

I wish I had never gone to this college. Classes were cancelled last minute after they were paid for and books were bought multiple times. I was a Legal Studies major, and the classes themselves in this department are severely lacking any substance. Every single class, a professor droned on and quoted, verbatim, a PowerPoint presentation. I learned virtually nothing; I felt that I paid for the privilege of getting a paper degree but did not get any real knowledge.

The Legal Studies academic office is so disorganized and nobody there can do anything to help you if you have an issue. I was supposed to have a certain number of core classes that I was required to take before graduating, but three of those classes were either cancelled multiple times due to low enrollment, or they were offered at the same time as each other so I could only take one at a time. Webster's solution to this was for me to substitute a non-legal course for one of these important legal courses, leaving me with no ability to learn that class material.

To rub salt in the wounds, some incompetent person decided it would be a great idea to hold a graduation ceremony at an outdoor venue with no inclement weather plans. I had to sit in the rain for hours with no umbrella to be able to walk and get my degree, and most of my family ended up not being able to see me graduate because they got pushed away due to the rain. I would NEVER recommend this college to anyone. Beware!

The school does indeed have smaller sized classes. I graduated from there with an art degree. The faculty are awesome people and will really help out with your field, but there is very little professional practice as a student. The focus is on making work and experimenting, but you are left not knowing what to do once you have graduated with a whole lot of work and no idea where to go from there.

There is absolutely no network between university and non-university working professionals. There are little to no opportunities to meet or connect with people or companies unless you are in graphic design which has internships and companies that come to review your work (I am strictly talking about the art program). The rest of Webster's departments are highly disorganized.

It takes forever to figure out which office can help you after all, and what is going on with problems you might be having like financial aid, etc. Their biggest problem is that they are slow about everything. Things take forever to get fixed or updated. I am giving it three stars because it IS an okay school. It is not terrible and it is not excellent.

I got a lot out of it for my art making but outside of that, I didn't get anything else. The faculty once again was made up of great people but that is the extent of "professionals" I met. I graduated still not having any sort of network in the art community through my university. Anybody I know and have met is on my own terms by myself which had nothing to with going to the university.

Kind of disappointing. The whole point of going to college, especially for something like art, was purely networking and getting one foot in the door so to speak. That was the one thing that did not happen.

I attended the Greenville, SC campus but since this is pretty much where the reviews are, I'll post here. I received my B.A. in Management from Webster U. this year and I'm happy to say that it was worth the experience. If not for the university accepting all of my transfer credit, I couldn't have graduated as early as I did. Webster definitely helped me achieve my goals.

As far as the professors, I had really good ones and a couple of mediocre ones but that's about par for the course in any educational institution. I keep in touch with a lot of my former professors. In fact, one of them wrote a recommendation letter to support my application to Clemson University's MBA program. Needless to say, I got in! Webster University was one of the best decisions I've made for my undergraduate education.

While there were a lot of state schools offering a night program for working professionals, I chose Webster because of the personal attention each student receives while attending. The small class sizes were really a big plus!

I transferred to Webster University from a state school and it was the best decision of my life! Tuition is not cheap, but it's worth every dollar! The faculty is amazing, the campus is beautiful, and the library is like a second home to me. The library has great resources and is open 24 hours. You feel safe on campus (which is important). They are always giving away free lunch, which is a plus in all college students' eyes!

The food is good, for college food, and they accommodate all people, including vegetarians. The university is known worldwide, with beautiful campuses in a number of different countries. Webster University was one of the greatest decisions I've made in life.

I'm 6 weeks away from finishing my degree at Webster University, so it's fitting that I take the time to reflect on my experiences and Yelp about it. I returned to school with financial assistance from my employer. I chose Webster due to it's location and reputation. Of all the colleges I've attended (SLU, Meramec, Oklahoma State), I enjoy and value my experiences at Webster above the rest.

The classes are small enough not to feel lost. The teachers stay available outside or after class. The students as a whole aren't pretentious. The campus is nice and small enough to walk. And I enjoy the addition of the study abroad program. not that I've visited other campuses, but the international diversity at the home campus is nice.

The university does a good job of accommodating full time students as well as those taking classes while holding a job (like myself). On a down side, Webster is kind of expensive. $1,600 per 3 credit class plus books. However, the financial aid I receive makes it much more affordable.

When I graduated from high school, I went straight to the typical 'big' school. There were lecture halls full of hundreds of students, TAs teaching instead of professors, and standing in line for hours just to hear that the class you need has been filled and you'll have to wait another year to take it which puts you a year behind. That lasted a semester.

I returned to go to Community College and had a lot of success. But then the problem came of where to transfer to finish my BA. I didn't even think of it until I was faced with the decision, but there are a lot of schools out there that do not accept many transfer credits. But Webster did. I learned about Webster University at the International Convention of Phi Theta Kappa (International Honors Society for 2-year schools).

They were sponsoring a session and announced that they offered a full-tuition scholarship to one Phi Theta Kappan who would transfer there. I visited the campus and since I brought everything with me for the application, they waived the application fee. I applied for the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, and even though I didn't get the full-tuition, I received the runner-up and got 1/2 tuition covered with a Student Leadership Scholarship and an academic grant covering the rest.

I had a wonderful time during my 2 years at Webster. I found it to be more like a community than a university. People were friendly and it was small enough that everyone knew everyone. Classes were small and personal, taught by professors with real world experience (full-time and adjunct) and who cared enough to learn your name. I was an advertising major, and I knew that Webster University sets the bar high for its ad majors.

Not only do we have to pass a stringent portfolio review in order to graduate, but we also have to complete a campaign to enter in the American Advertising Federation's National Student Advertising Competition. I graduated with a real world example of what I could do, and the awards to prove it. Webster University is also known for its International connections.

They have campuses all over the world and I also studied at their London campus for my Masters degree. I suggest Webster to any one who wants an international education while staying close to home and feeling like family. I'm still in touch with many of my professors and staff and they take a great interest that my future is in good hands.

I really enjoyed going to Webster as both an undergraduate and graduate. The campus is rather small, and allows for more social connections, smaller class sizes, and a much easier walk across campus. The property (especially the beloved Pearson House for English majors) is made up of beautiful old homes transformed into University buildings mixed among more modern construction (such as the new library).

For undergrad, my advisor's office was in the attic of one of these homes, which felt exactly like a cozy corner of Ron Weasley's house. I've also taken courses at other colleges and always found that Webster was the most organized and helpful on the phone. Their main line can direct you to any department immediately. I think that's the advantage of a small private university. Webster is also home to The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis ("The Rep"), which acts as the region's premier, professional live theater.

Webster University is my alma mater, and I am still in love with it. The Computer Science and Mass Communications departments are fantastic. Oh, and did I mention that a recent graduate of the Music Department has been voted the top new Opera talent in the country? If you are looking for a great university where you can make some real connections then check out Webster.

The University features small class sizes which are typically under fifteen students. There is a parking garage that never seems to get full, and you can easily walk the entire campus in just a few minutes. If you want that real college experience, I do recommend living on campus as otherwise you'll likely miss out on a lot due to poor campus communication.
