Children's Chorus of Maryland empowers musical children and promotes the fine art of music by providing music literacy for vocal musicians. We achieve our mission in a music education and performance program dedicated to excellence, aesthetic sensitivity, play-based learning, respect, and diversity. At Children's Chorus of Maryland, we believe that music communicates the essence of the human spirit, and that the voice is the first musical instrument. To truly and fully enjoy making music with others, one must strive for fluency in the language of music.

Tuition covers approximately 40% of CCM's annual operating budget. Remaining expenses are funded through concert fees; donations from generous organizations, businesses, and private patrons; and fundraising activities conducted by the Board of Directors and the Parent Association. Engaging the body and the mind in joyful music-making through musical games and movement, Crickets gently encourages very young children to explore the voice as their first true instrument. Crickets is a fun, play-based music and movement class for boys and girls ages 4 to 6. Trained teachers engage the body and the mind in joyful music-making through musical games and movement.
Above all else, CCM provides a solid music education that brings children to fluent music literacy-that is, the ability to read, write, and "hear" music- in a safe and nurturing environment. CCM is not just an activity where children meet to sing songs together and perform. Unlike other children's choruses, music education is the heart of CCM.
Rent Small Meeting, Religious Activities, or Classroom space in Towson - and Support Scholarships for Children's Music Education. Children's Chorus of Maryland & School of Music (CCM) is renting out rooms for small meetings, religious services, and classes or activities during the week and at select times on the weekends.
