Whether you are planning an intimate wedding or a large corporate function, the right musical addition can make your special event an extraordinary occasion. Music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together.
Musical Expressions holds recitals for all students three times a year, at The Mansion at Strathmore, and at the North Bethesda United Methodist Church, which give our students a chance to perform and hear others.

Services
Junko Takahashi founded Musical Expressions in 1999, with the goal of providing the highest quality musical instruction to people of all ages and abilities. Our primary focus is to have fun, while broadening students' creative capacity and enjoyment of music. We also set goals in all of our programs and hold optional public performances to challenge students and give them a sense of accomplishment.
We can accommodate all age and ability levels from beginner through high school, college and adult students. Lessons are offered at our studio or at students' homes. A friendly relationship between our teachers and our students and parents is of paramount importance to us. Not all of our students will go on to become world-renowned soloists, but we aim for each one to have fun, learn creative skills and discipline that will benefit academic pursuits, and experience the satisfaction of hard work paying off with a great performance.
Learning music can be an creative outlet, productive activity and foster a sense of accomplishment for all ages. In the comfort and safety of your home, with a strong wi-fi signal, student and teacher relationships are able to be effectively built. Each teacher uses the equipment that fits their style of teaching.
Our studio is located in the North Bethesda United Methodist Church at 10100 Old Georgetown Rd. Bethesda, MD 20814 at Lone Oak Dr., between the Beltway and Democracy Blvd. Currently, piano, violin, viola, guitar, flute, voice and bassoon lessons are available at our studio weekday afternoons and evenings. Multiple days are available, including every day of the week for piano, and we will work to meet your individual schedule.
