The 2020-2021 Annual Report demonstrates how resilient BMS has been in a year with such ever-evolving changes in our lives, and highlights the benefits developed through participating in music education. As we look back on these successes, BMS has doubled down on our commitment to making our programs available to everyone in our community.
Private lessons are the core of all BMS programs. Lessons may be arranged for 30, 45, 60, or 90 minutes each week to meet the needs of the individual student, and are offered throughout the year. Online lessons are conducted via Zoom, Facetime, or Skype, and students should have access to a computer or iPad with internet connection.
Berkshire Music School's active outreach program brings musical enrichment to underserved students throughout the community during in-school and after-school courses, offered both in-person and online. Our teaching artists also work closely with senior centers, libraries, museums, and other community organizations in order to provide concerts, interactive workshops, small group lessons, and more.
Founded through the generosity of philanthropist Winnie Crane Davis, the Berkshire Music School has an eighty-year history of bringing edifying musical experience to the community thanks to contributions by people like you. The Berkshire Music School is a tax-exempt charitable institution as designated under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code (EIN# 04-2121369).
