I have been Steven's student since 2008. I initially came to him as an adult hobbyist, concerned that my vocal range was shrinking and my singing voice gradually weakening. Steve has continuously astonished me with his ability to recognize potential, troubleshoot and diagnose limitations, and use multiple methods to teach and explain proper technique.
I have studied with Steven ever since I was twelve years old and may I say he has changed not only my vocal technique but also, me as a person. I began one summer as an untrained, timid singer with many flaws in my voice. However, going to Steven with these issues was the wisest decision I have ever made.

Working with Steven has been completely transformative for my voice and confidence as a singer. With his diagnostic ear and extensive experience, Steven is able to quickly identify any issues and prescribe exactly how to fix them during lessons. Steven has helped me overcome many hurdles with my voice and gave me all the tools and support to reach my full potential as a vocalist.

Steven is a kind, patient, and inspirational voice teacher. Before I started lessons with him (which are virtual, so you can sing from anywhere in the world!), I was frustrated with my voice. I couldn't access the power and tone I knew was there. Steven helped me relearn how to sing (starting with breathing, of course!) and helped me unlock the potential of my voice with healthy singing habits.
Now I sing professionally! I never would have achieved my singing dreams without his help. On a personal note, I have a serious chronic illness, and Steven has offered so much care and compassion, modifying lessons as needed so even on my rougher health days, I can still find a way to sing. Music is so important to my life, happiness, and health, and I cannot thank Steven enough for his guidance and expertise (and humor! We all need a good laugh, especially on the bad days). You won't find a more talented, more caring, more healing voice teacher than Steven.

Steven is fantastic in so many ways. I have been his student for a few years now and I have absolutely ZERO complaints. He is not only a fantastic teacher, he is a fantastic person. He is passionate, caring, personable and brilliant. I have received many compliments on how well Steven has been able to develop and transform my voice over the years.
Thanks to him, I am no longer shy about singing in public. He has been able to build my confidence and is worth every cent for his lessons. Not only does he know what he is doing, he makes the lessons fun! I feel very blessed to be able to call him my vocal coach and friend. My daughter has been working with Steven for going on 5 months now and the progress that she has made is indescribable. She has a natural talent for singing, but Steven has shown her tools to bring out the singer in her which has even reflected in her being more confident. He is a straight shooter and his classes are for people who really want to benefit from what he has to offer and want to apply the techniques being taught; with that being said, he is very sweet and funny. His classes are definitely an investment because you will for sure reap the benefits.

Steven Schnurman is an excellent voice teacher. He is a master at communicating vocal technique and immediately can identify vocal issues and prescribe solutions that really work. He is very encouraging, caring and supportive of his students. I have been taking voice lessons now for only two months and Steven has already undone so many, many years of bad vocal habits. He gave me back my love of singing - priceless! Steven is the best voice teacher I have had and I look forward to tremendous vocal growth. I highly recommend!

I have been taking voice lessons with Steven Schnurman for over 3 years now, and it has been an amazing experience. He's helped undo all the bad techniques ingrained in me from over 10 years of singing. From his lessons, I have found my true voice, developed so much more confidence in my voice and improved my vocal range significantly! I never thought I could hit half the notes I'm singing now with such clarity and it's all thanks to Steven's teaching ability. He's such a kind, patient and funny person - it makes me look forward to attending my lessons every week. He has totally changed my life!

Steven has transformed my voice over the 8 years I've worked with him. I began as a pitchy, timid singer and am now using my voice to pursue a career in performing. He is patient, knowledgable, and very good at articulating exactly how you can resolve any given issue with technique. Steven is the most amazing voice teacher. Before my daughter trained with Steven she had some good teacher but Steven took her to a whole new level. His techniques and approach are extraordinary. In addition to him being an amazing teacher and getting my daughters voice performance ready, he truly cares. My daughter trusts him deeply and feels like he is a supportive family member. Steven is the most knowledgeable teacher I've ever worked with. He is able to hear a problem and correct it within minutes, which means I can hear and feel results in the span of one lesson. I've never progressed faster with my voice. Once I began training with Steven, I started booking more work and even played Mary Poppins- my first title role ever! I recommend him to everyone who asks me for a voice teacher!
